Household refrigerator. The invention relates to a household refrigerator with its own, directly inserted small refrigeration machine, as well as with special devices for ice and ice cream production and a cold room for holding goods to be cooled. According to the invention is. the refrigerator is equipped with means which allow the cooling effect on the said cooling space to be switched off at least partially for the purpose of ice cream production.
If the small refrigeration machine has an evaporator which is inserted into a brine container, in which a container for ice making and a device for ice cream production are also used, an air circulation channel can be provided between the cooling chamber and the brine container is connected to the refrigerator compartment at both ends and is equipped with adjustable flaps at least at one end,
which allow the connection between the cooling space and the air circulation duct to be interrupted.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is illustrated, for example, the figure shows a vertical cross section through a house holding refrigerator. This cabinet, which is assigned the reference number 1, is equipped with its own small refrigeration machine 2, the condenser 8 of which is air-cooled and the evaporator 4 of which protrudes into a brine tank 5 used in the refrigerator 1.
In the brine container 5, a container 6 for ice cream production, as well as containers not shown for ice production, so-called ice cells, are also used. The refrigerator 1 is further equipped with a cooling space 7 for receiving goods to be cooled. Between this cooling space 7 and the brine tank 5, an air circulation channel 8 is provided, which communicates with the cooling space 7 at the upper end through openings 9 and at the lower end through an opening 10.
The openings 9 can be closed by rotatable flaps 11, while the opening 10 can be closed by a flap 12-> Usually the flaps 11, 12 are set in the position shown in the figure, so that through the cooling space 7 and the channel 8 an air circulation in the direction of the arrows entered. The air heated in the cooling chamber 7 rises in this room, enters the channel 8 through the openings 9 and cools down in this under the influence of the cold released by the brine tank 5, so that it falls in the channel 8 and strives to pass through the opening 10 back into the room 7.
If ice is also to be produced, the brine simultaneously releases cold to the ice cells which are immersed in it and then filled. The device 6 for ice cream production is then not used appropriately.
If, on the other hand, ice cream production is desired, the brine temperature must be brought significantly lower than it is necessary to cool the cupboard and any ice production, and the openings 9, 10 are therefore opened by means of the flaps 11 and 11 respectively. 12 shut off, so that the air circulation through channel 8 is interrupted. As a result, if the ice production is also interrupted, the brine releases practically all of the cold to the device 6 for ice cream production, which is immersed in the same.
This enables ice cream to be produced at the right brine temperature without the cold room becoming too cold.
If no ice cream is to be produced, but only the production of ice and cooling of the space 7 is desired, then during such times ice cells can be placed in the brine container 5 instead of the container 6.
