Hand adr essier masghine.
Hand adr essier masghine. The invention relates .sich: to a manual addressing machine with a jump-over device with a side-by-side: operating lever rotatable: ge superimposed skipping lever and: a device for automatic step-by-step advancement of a list to be printed.
The essence of the invention lies in the fact that a lever linkage is switched on between a drive linkage of the list forwarding device and the jump lever, which interrupts the step-by-step actuation of the forward switching device when the skip lever is rotated into the skip position.
In the drawing, an example embodiment is shown: this Handadressierma machine.
Fig. 1 shows a plan view of the addressing machine; Fig. 2 shows a side view respectively. A partial section through: the list indexing device with the pressure arm swung up and the skipping device not actuated; Fig. 3 is a view corresponding to Fig. 2 with:
downward swung pressure poor and not actuated skipping device, while Fig. 4 corresponds to Fig. 3, but when actuated, the skipping device, so that there is no imprint of the pressure plate at the pressure point.
The hand addressing machine shown has a frame 1 with table top 2 and a pressure arm 3 rotatably mounted on the frame 1. This pressure arm 3 carries the pressure pad 5 on its head 4. The printing plates to be printed are removed from a magazine 6 and placed in a slide passed the impression point 7 to a storage container 8. At the print head 4 of the machine, a two-part operating lever 9 is attached, between the two rods at the front end, a handle 10 is arranged.
To operate the machine and print the printing plate in the print position, the pressure arm 3 is swiveled down by hand from the position shown in Fig. 2 into the position shown in Fig. 3 and then returns to the upward position. whereby a new printing plate arrives at the impression point 7, the text of which can be seen in the recess 11 of the table top 2 of the addressing machine.
In the addressing machine illustrated, a two-armed lever 13, 14 pivotable about a pivot 12 is attached to the left operating lever part 9, in the arm 13 of which a rubber plug 15 is attached adjustable in its height. A push rod 16, adjustable in length, engages the arm 14 and is mounted in one or more eyes 18 of the lever 9 so as to be displaceable in its longitudinal direction, and carries a button 19 at its front end.
A spring 17 wound around the rod 16 seeks to press the rod continuously forwards in the direction of the arrow 20, the front end position being determined by the stop of a part 21 of the push rod 16 on the eye 18. In the normal operation of the mailing machine according to Fig. 3, the skip lever 13, 14, 15 does not prevent the complete downward pivoting of the pressure arm 3.
However, if the pressure plate located at the printing point is not to be printed, the operator grasping the handle 10 with his right hand needs the button 19 when pivoting the pressure arm 3 downward with the thumb of his right hand, as shown in Fig. 4 it can be seen to push backwards against ider spring 17, which has the consequence that the push rod 16, the skipping lever 13, 14 sets up.
As a result, when the pressure arm 3 is guided downwards, the rubber buffer 15 strikes the table top 2 as shown in Fig. 4, before the pressure pad 5: hits the pressure plate. As soon as the button 19 is released again, the skipping device automatically returns under the action of the spring 17 to its actuation position shown in Fig. 2.
The hand-held addressing machine shown is also provided with a device for incrementally updating a list 41 across the path of the printing plates, which is expediently removably attached to the frame 1 of the hand-held addressing machine. This device consists of two side cheeks 22, 23, between which a guide plate 24 is displaceably arranged. The guide cheek 23 is provided with a longitudinal groove which is used to receive a ratchet 25.
This can be moved back and forth by means of a toothed segment 26 within the guide cheek 23 and moves together with a pawl 27 or guide plate 24 in such a way that when the toothed rod 25 is shifted in the direction of the arrow 28, the pawl 27 and thus also the Guide plate 24 is taken along in the direction of arrow 28, and this is normally done with the upward movement of the pressure arm 3; the lowest position shown in Fig. 3 into the swiveled up position according to Fig. 2.
To clamp the list 41, the guide plate 24 is also provided with a clamping device 29. The drive of the tooth segment 26, which is rotatably mounted in a fixed arm 30 of a stiffening strut -31: of the frame of the list progressing device, is carried out by a push rod 32, one end of which is more or less distant from the pivot point as required 33 of the tooth segment 26 is connected to a downward extension of the tooth segment 26. At the other end, the rod 32 is angled.
Slit 34, 35 is provided, the part 34 of which extends approximately in the longitudinal direction -the rod 32, while the short part 35 is directed vertically upwards.
A bolt 36 passes through this slot 34, 35 and is attached to the pressure arm 3 at a more or less further distance from the pivot point 3 'of the pressure arm 3. Normally: the drive linkage of the list indexing device takes the from Fig.
and FIG. 3, a position shown in FIG. 3, in which the cross pin 36 on the downward extension of the pressure arm 3 penetrates the vertical part 35 of the slot 34, 35 of the drive rod 32 of the list indexing device.
Finally, next to the downward-reaching part of the pressure arm 3, a rod 37 is also arranged, which runs essentially parallel to the downward-moving part of the pressure arm 3 and encompasses the drive rod 32 of the indexing device with pins 38.
The upper end of the rod 37 is hinged to a triangular plate 39 forming an angle lever, which is rotatably attached to the pressure arm 3 at 39 'and from which a pull rod 40 leads to the jump lever 13, 14, so that a rotation of the jump lever the position according to FIGS. 2 and 3 in: the position according to FIG. 4 causes the triangular plate 39, which acts as an angle lever, to pivot relative to the pressure arm 3 and thus lifts the pull rod 37.
The mode of operation of a hand-held addressing machine provided with the described device is as follows: As long as the skipping lever 13, 14 does not assume its skipping position, the drive rod 32 moves from the position shown in Fig. 2 to the position shown in Fig. 2 with each downward movement of the pressure arm 3 Fig. 3 moves, which results in a displacement of the drive rack 25 in the opposite direction to the arrow 28, without taking the clamping device 29 of the list 41 with it.
During the upward movement of the pressure arm 3 following the impression of a pressure plate, the drive rod 32 is then moved from the position according to Fig. 3 into the position according to Fig. 2 by: the bolt 36, and this has the consequence that through :
the toothed segment 26 shifts the rack 25 in the direction of the arrow 28 and thereby takes the clamping device 24, 29 with it for the list 41 and thus advances the list 41 by the desired line spacing. The size of this line spacing can be regulated within certain limits by changing the distance between the attachment points of the drive rod 32 from the pivot points of the pressure arm 3 and the toothed segment 26.
If, however, the pressure arm 3 is pivoted downwards after the skipping lever 13, 14 has been pivoted from the position according to FIGS. 2 and 3: by pushing the button 19 inward into the skipping position according to FIG. 4, it is simultaneously with . The pivoting of the skip lever 13, 14, the pull rod 37 in.
Direction, of the arrow 42 has been raised, and: this has had the result "that the rod 32 is also raised until the bolt 36 lies in the horizontal part 34 of the connecting slot 34, 35.
When the pressure arm 3 is pivoted downward into the position according to FIG. 4, the bolt 36 on the pressure arm 3 then moves within the horizontal part 34: the slot 34, 35, without the pressure as a result of the downward pivoting. B> poor 3 a shift of the drive rod 32. The list indexing device from the position according to Fig. 2 into the position according to Fig. 3 takes place.
This has the consequence that there is no pivoting of the toothed segment 26 and thus also no displacement of the rack 25 during the downward movement of the pressure arm 3 following upward movement, so that the list 41 remains and only again is advanced after the imprint of a new printing plate has taken place.
