Description
Setzeisen.
Setting iron. The present innovation aims to create a tool that makes it easier to drive a perpendicular or inclined steel needles that are used to attach pipe clamps or the like.
In this case, the tool should hit a failure with the hammer, which could cause damage to the pipe clamps or the like or the Rollres, Ka lever or the like to be attached to it, are prevented.
Furthermore, the innovation aims to design the tool in such a way that if the needle head breaks off again and again, it is prevented from flying into the fitter's eye.
The subject of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing in two exemplary embodiments, each in a longitudinal section.
The setting iron according to FIG. 1 consists of a tubular handle a, which tapers downwards to at a2 and there has a bore a3 that is used to receive and guide the steel needle and as a guide channel for the lower part of the loosely displaceable in the handle . Firing pin b is used.
The firing pin b is guided in its upper parts in the handle a and secured against falling out by a pin b2, which also serves to limit the stroke and is guided in a corresponding recess a4 (slot) of the handle a.
The firing pin b can be concave at its lower end at b3 hollowed out at its lower end at b3, so that the, at the end of the b3, when used for headless steel needles, which are provided with screw thread for the purpose of subsequent attachment of the usual head with screw thread (see the embodiment shown in Fig. 2) The striking steel needle, which is usually slightly pointed, receives an exactly axial, centric strike.
In this embodiment according to FIG. 2, the bore a 'of the 11aDd handle intended to receive the headless, screw-threaded steel needle is provided at the lower end with a constriction a'.
