Sorting machine for fruits and other fruits. The invention relates to a Sortierma machine for fruit, potatoes and other fruits, by means of which the sorting out of bad, unusable fruits can be accomplished in a simple and fast manner, da.ss a larger amount of fruit is poured onto a slowly moving conveyor belt of the machine which, because of its low movement, only gradually transfers the same to another, but faster moving conveyor belt, from which the bad fruits can then be conveniently read by hand, while the good fruits are transported directly to a basket provided or to another collection point can.
The faster moving conveyor belt prevents a layer of fruit that is too thick and makes reading more difficult, because. on it the fruits are moved faster than they are carried along by the slowly moving conveyor belt on a given route.
In cases where, in addition to the bad fruits, also the fruits that are too small have to be read out, the time for reading is often insufficient because of the larger amount of rejects, so that the faster moving conveyor belt follows along with the good fruits as well as less good ones the collection point would transport.
In order to take account of these cases as well, a sorting grate that can be set in a shaking motion can expediently be attached between the slow-moving and the fast-moving conveyor belt, which has spaces that become wider towards the front, through which the too small fruits can fall without first to get onto the slowly moving conveyor belt that serves as a selection table. A funnel-shaped frame is then placed under this sorting grate to collect and forward the fruits that are too small.
This frame has inside. a pivoting partition, by means of which the frame can be divided into two compartments. Since the smallest fruits always fall through the grate first because of the gaps between the sorting grate that are getting wider towards the front, the framing walls allow the too small fruits to be divided into the smallest and medium-sized varieties. The large fruits, on the other hand, all move over the grate in order to be read out by hand on the slowly moving conveyor belt in the manner described above.
The two conveyor belts and the sorting grate can be driven by a hand crank or by machine. They are arranged in a table frame, with the slowly moving conveyor belt still being surrounded by a trough-like frame, since a sufficiently large amount of fruit can be poured onto it. Furthermore, a protective plate can be provided under the load-bearing surfaces of the transport belts so that the belts cannot buckle due to the load resting on them.
In the drawing, a sorting machine designed according to the invention is shown as an exemplary embodiment, namely show: FIG. 1 a longitudinal section through the sorting machine, FIG. 2 the plan view of the same, FIG. 3 a cross section through the sorting machine, FIG. 4 the same sorting machine with a sorting grate connected in between, FIG. 5 a view of this machine, seen from above, FIGS. 6 to 8 a side view,
a plan view and a cross section of the sorting grate on a larger scale and FIGS. 9 to 11 the fastening device for the individual grate bars, for example. In a table frame 1, a slowly moving conveyor belt 3 is arranged on the rear roller pairs 29 and 2b, and a fast moving conveyor belt 5 is arranged on the front roller pairs 4a and 4b.
The two conveyor belts are driven by a hand crank 6 or by machine, the transmission to the rear conveyor belt being effected by the pulleys 7 and 8 and the belt 9. The transmission ratio of the pulleys 7 and 8 is selected so that the rear conveyor belt 3 makes a significantly slower movement than the front conveyor belt 5. If necessary, the transmission ratio can still be set up to be adjustable.
The axes 10 of the rollers are arranged in longitudinally displaceable bearings provided with tensioning devices 11 so that the transport belts can always be kept taut.
Below the supporting surface of each conveyor belt, a protective plate 12 is arranged over its entire width, from which the load resting on the belts is caught so that the belts cannot buckle. The rear conveyor belt 3 is surrounded by a trough-like frame 13, which serves to hold the fruits to be sor animal and which expires in the guide strips 16 to the front. At the front end, these strips are equipped with wings 18 that can be pivoted inward about hinges 17.
This allows the fruits to be transported away in a more or less large width, which makes the selection much easier. Central .Schwenk bracket 19 and screws 15, the wings 18 can be fixed in any position. At the front end of the table frame a table top 20 is then provided for setting up a basket 21 or other collecting vessel.
The fruits are sorted out in such a way that they are poured into the trough 13 or onto the conveyor belt 3, from which they slowly reach the faster running conveyor belt 5 when the crank handle 6 is turned. The bad fruits can then be conveniently read on this, while the good fruits fall directly into the basket 21.
The conveyor belts are usually made of canvas, canvas or the like, soft, elastic fabric; However, they can also be made of a wire mesh, if the machine is to be used for sorting out potatoes or the like coarser fruits.
If the fruits that are too small are also to be sorted out, according to FIGS. 4 and 5, a sorting grate 22 is exchangeable between the slow-moving conveyor belt 3 and the fast-moving conveyor belt 5 and is attached so that the fruits 14 are only removed from the conveyor belt 3 fall onto the sorting grate 22, which, as far as they do not fall through, forwards the fruits onto the front transport belt 5 through its inclined arrangement.
The sorting grate consists of grate bars 23 which taper towards the front and thus receive grate gaps 24 which become wider towards the front, through which the smaller fruits can fall. The grate bars are fastened at the front and back on transverse bridges 25, which are supported with side pegs 26 in longitudinal slots 9-7 of the table frame 1 in such a way that the entire grate vibrates to and fro can. The pins 26 are provided with rollers 28 for the purpose of easier sliding gins.
The grate bars 23 are fastened to the cross bridges 25 by means of screw bolts 29, which engage through an elongated hole 30 in the cross bridges and can be fixed by means of screw nuts 29a. By virtue of the elongated holes 30, the individual grate rods can be moved laterally so that the grate split 24 can be enlarged or reduced depending on the size of the fruit to be sorted. The grate bars are rounded on their upper surface as shown in FIG. 10, since the fruits do not lie on them ben, but must always roll to the side.
Strips 31 made of leather, rubber or the like, soft material, which are stretched over the grate at the front and back, are used to protect the fruit from hard bumps. Each individual grate rod can also be stretched over its entire length with such material. The reciprocating Rüt telbewegung receives the sorting grate via a hinged rod 32 from a crankshaft 33, which is rotated simultaneously with the transport rollers via rope or chain pulleys 34 in order. The mutual spacing of the grate bars can be adjusted so that the fruits 14 can only fall through up to a certain size.
The large quality fruits, however, are forwarded to the front conveyor belt 5, where the bad fruits among them can be read. As a result of the gaps 24 becoming wider towards the front, of the fruits found to be too small, the smallest fruits fall through the grate first and, as the width of the gap increases, the next largest fruits. Under the grate, a funnel-shaped frame 35 is attached, which catches the fallen fruit through the grate and supplies them to a collection point (for example baskets).
In order to sort out the larger than medium variety from the fruits that have fallen through the grate, an intermediate wall 37 pivotable about hinges 36 is attached within the frame 35, which can be adjusted under the grate 22 so that the size of the fruits that have fallen through the grate selectable according to one department 35a or according to the other. Department 35b of the framing. If the partition 37 is pivoted into the dash-dotted position, then all the fruit that has fallen through slide to the one compartment 35b. The partition 37 is guided in arcuate elongated holes 38 of the table frame and can be fixed by means of screws or the like known means in any position.
If sorting by means of the grate is no longer necessary, it must be removed from the table frame, the table frame, which is expediently collapsible, allows the rear conveyor belt to be brought over the front conveyor belt as shown in FIG.
