Device for removing metal strip coils from the reels of the Nalt rolling mills. The reels used to wind up the metal strips processed in cold rolling mills are designed to enable the tape laps to be pulled off so that their diameter can be reduced slightly, so that the innermost course of the sheet metal strip of the coil detaches from the area around the reel.
However, since reels with a horizontal axis have to slide the tape lap under weight load on the upper surface of the reel when it is pulled off, the resulting friction holds the inner thread of the reel on the outer surface of the reel, so that the threads diverge axially and 'tighten around the reel. As a result, the roll jams when it is pulled off, if not all the innermost parts are gripped by hand and pushed forward by laboriously pulling them.
In order to eliminate these deficiencies, according to the invention, an extension carriage is arranged on rails provided below the reel, which is provided with a support trough suitable for lifting and carrying the reel and adjustable by a lifting device so that the reel does not come into contact with the reel can be removed from this.
Fig. 1 shows the reel with the car from the same in side view before use; Fig. 2 shows a similar view of the reel with the extended tape wrap; Fig. 3 shows an associated floor plan, Fig. 4 shows a cross section through the car and the roadway.
The end part of the drive shaft 2 carrying the reel 1 rests in the bearing 4 arranged on the frame 3 of the machine, as well as in an external bearing with a bearing bush b mounted on the free end of the drive shaft so that it cannot be displaced in the longitudinal direction open bearing bed 6 of a bearing block 7. The closed side of the bearing bed 6 is facing the rollers of the rolling mill so that it can take up the winding tension. The bearing block 7 rests on a base plate 8, which is provided below the reel, then ssend on the frame 3 of the rolling mill and supports running rails 9 parallel to the reel axis.
Outside this run, the bearing block 7 is attached to the side on which the bearing bed is closed, pivotably about a pin 10 and is held in the working position by a weight-loaded rotary bolt 12, which jumps into a detent 13 provided on the base plate on the other side of the rails.
On the running rails 9 of the base plate 8 rests with four running wheels 14 of the extending carriage 15 serving to take off the roll 21. The frame of the carriage carries in the middle the nut 17 of the lifting spindle 18 which can be rotated by means of a handwheel 16 and which is Longitudinal groove of the same engaging spring 19 is guided non-rotatably and on the upper end of which sits a trough 20, the cavity of which runs parallel to the reel axis.
If the sheet metal strip is wound onto the reel 1 after passing through the rollers and then the diameter of the reel has been reduced in a known manner, so that the reel rests on its upper side, releasing a certain gap between its inner surface and the underside of the reel, so the handwheel 16 of the wagon located under the reel 21 is rotated until the raised trough 20 lifts the reel 21 so that the contact between its innermost gear and the upper reel surface is lifted.
Then the bearing block 7 is swiveled out about the eccentric pin 10 after the bolt 12 has been released and the reel 21 is removed from the now unloaded reel 1 by extending the carriage. The lateral tilting of the car from the rails of the roadway is prevented by the fact that holding rails 2.2 are provided on both sides of the frame of the car between the wheels, which grip with their hook-shaped ends under the inner edges of the rails. In their area, a stop 23 limiting the extension length is fastened between the running rails.
The winding can now be lifted from the extended carriage without difficulty and this can be pushed under the reel for new use, after which the bearing chair is swung in again.
The drawn lifting device of the wagon can be replaced by another, appropriate design, for example a rack and pinion winch.
