Chain milling machine. The subject matter of the present invention relates to a chain milling machine.
In the accompanying drawing an example embodiment of the invention is shown, and show: Fig. 1 and 2 the machine in front view and side view with a large workpiece, such as a door, Fig. 3 and 4, the machine without vertical rails with a small workpiece. for example a door frame part; FIGS. 5 and 6 show the lower part of FIGS. 1 and 3.
In the machine frame 1, the slide 2 is arranged to be vertically displaceable. The same carries the milling chain 3, which is driven in a manner not specified on the drawing. Under the vertical slide 2, a slide 4 is horizontally adjustable in a horizontal direction in the machine frame in a guide that is adjustable by means of the screw spindle 11, but normal to the spindle 11 displaceable bar, which is provided with clamping block 6 to press a workpiece against the front of the slide 4 can. On the front side of the carriage 4 slots 7 are provided, in which a support 9 can be fixed by means of screws 8 adjustable in height. On the support 9 who the small workpieces 10 is placed.
Downwardly directed rails 12 are attached to the longitudinal end faces of the carriage 4. On these 15 adjustable supports 13 for workpieces of large dimensions adjustable in height be fastened by means of screws. In order to enable quick adjustment, the supports 13 are conveniently slotted and are only clamped to the rails 12 by means of screws 15, so that loosening the screws 15 to move the supports 13 is sufficient. According to nature, one edge of the rails 12 could be toothed and work together with stops of the supports 13, so that by simply lifting or edging the stops 19, the height adjustment could be effected.
In order to bring about a quick and even Ver make the stops 13, the rails 12 could be arranged on the carriage 4 also vertically displaceable. For example, they could be designed as racks and be in engagement with toothed pistons on a common shaft which is rotatably mounted in the carriage 4 and carries a ratchet wheel into which a pawl rotatably mounted on the carriage 4 for the purpose of fixing the rails 12 in a specific height intervenes.
