Description

Process for the preparation of a soluble tin compound. The main patent describes a process by which a complex connection of antimony with pyrogallol disulfo acid is obtained. Compounds of this kind differ entirely from ordinary salts of antimony in that they do not have a number of alloys of these salts. They contain the antimony in a more solid so-called complex compound.

These substances can be used as remedies, because in them, due to the stronger bond of the antimony, the harmful effect is suppressed compared to the healing effect.

It has been found that the same conditions prevail if catechol-disilfosaui-es sodium is reacted with zirine hydroxide.

The method is best carried out in such a way that sodium pyrocatechol disulphonate is reacted with the required iSTerge of the tin compound in an aqueous solution, if necessary with heating.

Example: 35 grams of brerizkatecliiridisulfosaui-es sodium are dissolved in 200 cm of water and an aqueous suspension of tin hydroxide is added, which is obtained from a solution of 14 grams of tin salt in water by precipitation with ammonia , Washing out and mixing with water. Solution occurs. It is neutralized with dilute sodium hydroxide solution, filtered and the filtrate is evaporated in vacuo. The tin complex salt remains as a lightly colored powder that dissolves easily in water.

The presentation and storage must be carried out with the greatest possible exclusion of air, since the preparation slowly absorbs oxygen. It is used as a remedy for infectious diseases.
