Description

Process for the preparation of a soluble vanadium compound. The main patent describes a process by which a complex compound of antimony with Pyrogallol.disulfonic acid is obtained. Compounds of this type differ from ordinary salts of antimony in that they do not have a number of reactions of these salts. This is because they contain the antimony in a so-called complex compound. These substances can be used as remedies, because in them, due to the stronger binding of the antimony, the harmful effects are suppressed compared to the healing effects.

It has now been found that the same conditions prevail when pyroga.llol-disulphonate sodium is reacted with vanadyl hydroxide.

The procedure is carried out, ideally: in such a way that pyrogallol-disulfosauresodium with the required @ le @. <, @ e of the vanadium compound in an aqueous solution., and optionally with heating. , Example: 20 grams of pyrogallol disulfonic acid are dissolved in water and vanadyl hydroxide (obtained from 7 grams of ammonium vanadate by reducing) is dissolved in it.

Dilute sodium hydroxide solution is added until the reaction is neutral, then filtered and precipitated by pouring into methyl alcohol. After suctioning off and drying, a deep dark blue powder is obtained that dissolves easily in water. The product obtained is used as an agent against infectious diseases.
