Housing for Hoelidruek steam or gas turbines. The housing for the modern high-pressure steam turbines, which operate with pressures of 100 Atm. and more work are partly, as is common in turbine construction, separated in the horizontal center plane, but partly not divided aehsially at all.
The former version allows easier assembly of the machine, but has the disadvantage that the sealing of the housing halves along the horizontal against the pressure is difficult to perform, and that the two halves with over-sized flanges and to absorb the steam pressure Hardly any screws that can be accommodated have to be provided. The known designs with axially undivided housing have the disadvantage that the installation of the guide and impellers is uncomfortable and time-consuming and, for example, has to be done vertically from above by setting up the housing and inserting the inner parts.
To eliminate the above disadvantages, the present invention uses a housing which is not axially divided on the high pressure side, but is axially divided on the low pressure side, whereby according to the invention the low pressure end protrudes with a shoulder into the high pressure end.
The sectional figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing illustrate an exemplary embodiment of the subject of the invention. The housing shown consists of the axially non-split high pressure end 1 and the axially split low pressure end 2. The latter has an approach 3, which in the high pressure end with conical Pa .ss- surface protrudes, there is stored vapor-tight ge and partially surrounds guide wheels .1 and the rotor 5.
The assembly of the turbine is expediently carried out in such a way that the lower half 2 a (FIG. 2) of the low-pressure part 2 is attached to its normal installation site; the installation of the idlers and the rotor is as usual. The upper half 2 b is then placed and screwed through the flan's 6 and 7 with the lower half 2 a. Then the axially not divided high pressure part 1 is pushed over the extension 3 and screwed through the flanges 8 and 9 to the low pressure part. In the parting lines 10 and 11 are inserted after rich sealing materials.
Before geous, the radial separation of the two high pressure parts 1 and 2 is moved as possible after the low pressure end, so that the flanges and screws of the horizontal separations openings, the low pressure part must never be provided for their pressure. It is also advantageous to store the extension 3 in the housing 1 so that it is not subjected to pressure and bending.
The fitting surface of the approach 3 is best conical; but it could also be cylindrical (Fig. 3).
The present invention allows a structure, as it is almost common today, also for high pressure turbines with an axially undivided housing at the high pressure end. It was the invention on a disc turbine be written; but it is also applicable to a drum turbine, for example the guide vanes are used in the low-pressure part and its approach. The high-pressure turbine can of course be connected upstream of the known normal Kon structures.
