Wegweiser.
Signpost. It is known that today's way wise do not meet the modern traffic requirements, in particular those of car traffic, because rapid orientation is impossible with the fast traffic.
The subject of the present invention is a signpost which is intended to enable quick orientation. This carries a plurality of boards which are swept according to the direction of the street and which are each subdivided into a number of different colored name fields corresponding to the number of different branches of the street. He also has a directional arm for each junction whose color matches that of the associated name field.
In the accompanying drawings, two exemplary embodiments of the signpost are shown, namely: FIG. 1 shows an embodiment in view, FIG. 2 shows the upper part of the same on a larger scale, FIG. 3 shows a plan view of FIG. 2, FIG second embodiment in view, FIG. 5 an application example.
The guide according to the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 3 has a tube b inserted into a concrete block, the upper end of which carries a prismatic, box-like housing c. The housing c, which is divided into chambers, is provided with an end cap c 'to which three directional arms dl, e, f, designed as arrows, are attached. Each side of the prismatic housing c is designed as a table and according to the number of directional arms d ,, e1, f, - divided into three name fields d, e, f .
While each direction arm points in the direction of a street, the name fields are arranged at right angles to the former so that they are fully visible in the direction of the street.
Each name field is provided with the name of the next larger town on the road in question and is made of glass so that the names can also be made visible at night through a lighting device housed in housing c (Fig. 2). This lighting device is also arranged in such a way that the directional arms are also illuminated.
To make orientation easier, each name field and each associated direction arm is kept in a certain color. If, for example, the name field d for the town X is red, the field e for the town K white and the field f for the town A blue, the direction arm d1, which points in the direction to X, is also red, the direction arm e1 in white and the direction arm f1 in blue.
The guide in FIG. 4 differs from that of the first embodiment example in that a prismatic column g occurs in place of the tube b, which, like the housing c, is divided into name fields and chambers. The sides of the housing have one name field less than there are directional arms.
This missing field is located as a special field on column g. If one approaches the junction from the direction of A (Fig. 5), only the name fields X and K are visible on the housing c, the name fields X and A from the direction K and the name fields K and A from the direction X. so that the clarity is increased. On the topmost field of the prismatic column, as already mentioned, the name of the town is attached to which the relevant side of the housing is turned.
The lighting device in housing c can be switched on and off by remote control. Switching on and off can also be carried out by an electrical timer or by another known switching mechanism.
Instead of accommodating a lighting device in the housing c and in the end head c ', the clearing arms and the name fields can also be made from luminous enamel.
If there are more than three road junctions at one point, the Webweiser has a housing whose cross-section is delimited by an equilateral polygon with a number of sides corresponding to the number of road junctions, while the number of directional arms also corresponds to the number of road junctions.
