Description

Saw frame. In simple gang saws, the creels that guide the saw blade are made of wood or iron. In these constructions, the weight is relatively large and requires a large amount of power for the mass to be moved. The installation of saws with such gates therefore also requires a stable frame, which gives the gate sufficient support to achieve a smooth walk.

The invention now relates to a saw frame made of steel tube. The drawing shows an embodiment of the same. The vertical legs a, of the gate are formed by simple steel tubes a. The horizontal cross members b, also formed by steel tubes, are reinforced ver by means of curved supporting yokes c made of steel tubes. The parts a, b, c are connected to each other at the corners of the saw frame by sleeves d, of which the two above carry the connecting rods for the engagement pin for moving the gate. The holders e for the saw blade are arranged in the middle of the crossbars and support yokes.
