Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 103649. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines indigoiclen Farbstoffes der Anthracenreihe. Iss wurde gefunden, dass mau einen neuen indigoiden Farbstoff der Anthracen- reihe erhält, wenn man das 1,2-Antliracen- oxythiophen finit 5,7-Dibromisatin konden siert.
Der neue Farbstoff ist in Schwefel säure mit violettstichig blauer Farbe lös lich; er bildet mit Hydrosulfit und Natron lauge eine braunorange Küpe, aus welcher Baumwolle in echten gelbstichig oliven Tö nen gefärbt wird.
Beispiel 25 Teile 1, 2-Anthracenoxy thioplien wer den mit 34,5 Teilen 5, 7-Dibromisatin und 500 Teilen Eisessig kurz aufgekocht. Der ausgeschiedene Farbstoff wird abgesaugt, gewaschen und getrocknet.
Derselbe Farbstoff entsteht auch, wenn man statt der Oxythiophenverbindung die entsprechende Thioglykoll@arbonsäiire ver- wendet. In diesem Falle arbeitet man in Gegenwart von Essigsäureanhydrid und Natriumacetat, wobei die Oxythiophenver- bindung zunächst, entsteht und dann mit den vorhandenen Komponenten reagiert.

The same dye is also produced if the corresponding thioglycolic acid is used instead of the oxythiophene compound. In this case, one works in the presence of acetic anhydride and sodium acetate, whereby the oxythiophene compound is initially formed and then reacts with the components present.
