Schlafich. Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfin dung bildet ein Schlauch. welcher einen in- nern, leicht biegbaren M@tallsehlauch, einen den Metallschlauch, umgebenden Mantel aus dichtendem Material und eine das letztere zusammen- und an den Metallschlauch an pressende äussere Umhüllung aufweist.
Für den den Metallschlauch umgebenden Mantel wird vorteilhaft ein dichtes Geflecht aus As bestschnüren verwendet, während die äussere Umhüllung zum Beispiel aus einer Draht-, Ilanf- oder Ba.umwollumflechtung bestehen kann, die ihrerseits durch ein um sie schrau benförmig herumgewundenes Flachband aus etall gegen Durchscheuern geschützt sein <B>1</B> kann.
In der beigefügten Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegen standes veranschaulicht, und zwar zeigt: Fig. 1 dasselbe in Ansicht, zum Teil mit freigelegten innern Teilen, und Fig. 2 einen axialen Schnitt.
Der dargestellte Schlauch weist einen innern, leicht biegbaren Metallschlauch a auf, der in bekannter Ausführung aus einem spiralförmig gewickelten profilierten Metall band mit oder ohne Dichtungsschnur be steht. Der Metallschlauch ist von einem Mantel b umgeben, der aus einem dichten Geflecht aus abdichtendem Material, wie Asbest oder dergleichen, hergestellt ist.
Auf dem Mantel b ist eine aus einem Geflecht, zum Beispiel Draht-, Hanf- oder Baumwoll- geflecht, bestehende Umhüllung c so satt auf geflochten, dass dadurch das Geflecht des Mantels b -festgepresst und damit undurch lässig gemacht und an den Metallschlauch a,ngepresst wird. Zum Schutze der Umhüllung c gegen Durchscheuern ist um dieselbe ein Metallband d schraubenförmig herumgewik- kelt. Das Metallband d wird durch auf gelötete Blechringe e an Ort und Stelle ge halten.
Statt durch Draht-, Hanf- oder Baum- wollgeflecht kann der Dichtungsmantel b zum Beispiel auch durch einen Metallschutz schlauch oder durch eine Flachbandspirale, welche satt und direkt auf das Geflecht des Mantels b aufgewickelt wird, fest- bezw. an den innern Metallschlauch a angepresst werden. Das Neue des beschriebenen Schlauches besteht darin, dass die Dichtheit des innern Metallschlauches a durch das feste Zusam- menpressen des Geflechtes b und Anpressen desselben an den Metallschlauch erzielt ist.
