Process and press template for the production of double-walled pipes. The invention relates to the pressing of double-walled pipes, for example made of lead or some other suitable material, in which the inner pipe is connected to the outer pipe by continuous webs. In the drawing Fig.-1 shows an example embodiment of a. Such a double-walled tube, which consists of the inner tube 1, the outer tube 2 and the connecting webs 3 running through, which can be present in any number.
The outlet opening of the template used for pressing is of course to be adapted to this cross-section, whereby care must be taken that the plastic material (for example lead) is fed to the shaping cavities of the press template and driven through them without interference.
According to the invention, the material is fed to the shaping cavities of the press template essentially in the direction from the outside to the inside. In contrast to the reverse process, the material is brought together in this way for the purpose of its unification, while at the same time its path is shortened. This improves the finished pipe as a whole, since no seams can arise on the outer pipe and the material for the inner pipe is securely joined together. At the same time, the press template can also be designed more easily than for the reverse method.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment from a device for imple mentation of the method is shown in Fig. 2. (The device is broken off below and the inner part of the press template on the left side is thought to have been broken open). h'ig. 3 shows the top view of the inner part of the press template.
ca is a standing container in which the plastic material (for example liquid lead) is located, which can be pressed up out of the container by any, for example hydraulic pressure device, which is not shown. The press template is located at the head of this container. Its outer part consists of the press ring i, which is inserted into the ceiling in the container a.
Its inner part consists of the hollow body d with the cylindrical mandrel h inserted therein. The hollow body d is embedded with a pin c in a socket b mounted in the container. The hollow body d has (for example a milled) longitudinal slots f, so that the upper part of the hollow body d consists of four tabs ci'i, between which the slots f are located.
In this way, the press template has cavities at its opening, which correspond to the solid cross section of the double-walled tube to be pressed (FIG. 1).
When the printing device is put into operation, the plastic work material (for example lead) occurs essentially from the outside into the various cavities of the press template. In the direction of the arrow 1 it goes through the slits f through inwards to between the tabs d 'and the mandrel h. to form the inner tube 1; in the direction of arrow 2 it goes between the press ring i and the tabs d 'through (to be formed in the outer tube.2; and in the direction of arrow 3 it rises in the slots f to the ver to give binding webs 3.
The finished double-walled pipe emerges from the press template, the length of which corresponds to any quantity of the material filled into the container a. As I said, the material used is not lead, but also other metal, or some other non-metallic, temporarily plastic material, such as rubber.
