Einrichtung an Tabakpfeifen zum Troekenhalten wies Tabaks und Kühlen des Nauehes. Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfin dung bildet eine Einrichtung an Tabak pfeifen zum Trockenhalten des Tabaks und Kühlen des Rauches, bei der die Bohrung des Tabakbehälters in eine quer zu ihr ver laufende Kühlkammer übergeht, die unter halb des Tabakbehälters mit einem hülsen artigen Einsatz ausgekleidet ist, dessen Wan dung nach der Bohrung des Tabakbehälters hin durchbrochen ist.
Die Zeichnung zeigt je einen Längsschnitt von zwei Ausführungsbeispielen des Erfin dungsgegenstandes.
Bei der Ausführungsform nach I'ig. 1 geht die Bohrung 2 des Tabakbehälters in eine quer zu ihr verlaufende, durchgehende Kühlkammer 1 über. Diese ist unterhalb des Tabakbehälters mit einem hülsenartigen Einsatz 3 ausgekleidet, der am äussern Ende bündig mit der. Wandung des Pfeifenkopfes durch eine Wandung 4 abgeschlossen ist. Unterhalb der Bohrung 2 ist die Wandung des Einsatzes 3 einem Kreisbogen entlang durchschnitten und einwärts gebogen.
Zwi schen dem auf der Seite des äussern Einsatz endes befindlichen Rande des eingebogenen Teils 5 und dem benachbarten zylindrischen Wandungsteile des Einsatzes ist eine etwa 7 bis 8 mm breite Öffnung 6 freigelassen, durch die der Rauch aus dem Tabakbehälter in die Rauchkühlkammer übertreten kann. Durch die Umleitung des Rauches gegen das äussere Ende des Einsatzes hin wird seine Abkühlung gefördert. An das aridere Ende der Rauchkühlkammer schliesst sich das Mundstück 7 an.
Bei der Ausführungsform nach I'ig. 2 ist der Einsatz 3 als beidseitig offenes Rohr stück ausgebildet, das vom Mundstückende her in die Rauchkühlkamnier 1 eingeschoben ist, wobei das andere Ende der letzteren durch die Wandung 4 des Pfeifenkopfes ab geschlossen ist. Dieser Einsatz 3 ist unter halb der Bohrung 2 des Tabakbehälters siebartig ausgebildet. Beim Durchgang durch dieses Sieb 5 wird der Rauch ähnlich wie bei einer Zigarre verteilt und abgekühlt.
Der Einsatz 8 wird zweckmässigerweise aus Metallblech hergestellt. Die beschriebene Einrichtung ergibt auch bei kleinen Abmes sungen der Pfeife einen aussergewöhnlich grossen Kühlraum. Der Tabak kann bis zum letzten Rest trocken aufgeraucht werden, da er nicht mit Kondenswasser in Berührung kommt. Allfällige Verstopfungen können von der Seite des Tabakbehälters her rasch und gründlich beseitigt und innere Reinigungen leicht durchgeführt werden. Die Einrichtung ist in verschiedenen Formen auch anwendbar an gebogenen Tabakpfeifer.
In dem Falle, wo der Einsatz von dem im Pfeifenkopfe befindlichen Ende der durch gehenden Rauchkühlkammer her in diese eingesetzt werden muss, kann man ihn am äussern Ende zum Beispiel durch eine auf sehraubbare oder einschiebbare Kapsel dicht; abschliessen.

In the embodiment according to I'ig. 1, the bore 2 of the tobacco container merges into a continuous cooling chamber 1 running transversely to it. This is lined below the tobacco container with a sleeve-like insert 3, which is flush with the outer end. Wall of the pipe bowl is completed by a wall 4. Below the bore 2, the wall of the insert 3 is cut through along an arc of a circle and bent inward.
Between the edge of the bent part 5 located on the side of the outer insert and the adjacent cylindrical wall parts of the insert, an approximately 7 to 8 mm wide opening 6 is left free through which the smoke from the tobacco container can pass into the smoke cooling chamber. By diverting the smoke towards the outer end of the insert, its cooling is promoted. The mouthpiece 7 adjoins the other end of the smoke cooling chamber.
In the embodiment according to I'ig. 2, the insert 3 is designed as a pipe open on both sides, which is inserted from the mouthpiece end into the Rauchkühlkamnier 1, the other end of the latter being closed by the wall 4 of the pipe bowl. This insert 3 is designed like a sieve under half of the bore 2 of the tobacco container. When it passes through this sieve 5, the smoke is distributed and cooled similarly to a cigar.
The insert 8 is expediently made from sheet metal. The device described results in an exceptionally large cooling space even with small dimensions of the pipe. The tobacco can be smoked dry to the last rest, as it does not come into contact with condensation. Any blockages can be removed quickly and thoroughly from the side of the tobacco container and internal cleaning can be carried out easily. The device can also be used in various forms on curved tobacco pipes.
In the case where the insert from the end of the continuous smoke cooling chamber located in the pipe bowl has to be inserted into it, it can be sealed at the outer end, for example, by a capsule that can be opened or pushed in; to lock.
