Description

Frottoir a, parquets.

Frottoir has, parquet floors. The object of the invention is a parquet floor scrubber comprising a handle to which is fitted a device lined with steel wool.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 la shows part in elevation and part in section; Fig. 2 is a top view.

On a handle 1 are fitted two jaws 2 and 3, each of which comprises a tubular segment 4 respectively 5 em housed on the lower end of the handle 1, so that they join one on the other. The segment 4 is fixed to the handle, while the segment 5 is pivoted there at 6. On the tubular segments 4 and 5 is disposed a runner 7 which keeps the jaws 2 and 3 close to each other. The latter maintain a stuffing 9 of steel wool, using claws 8 that has a rim of jaws 2 and 3.

In order to be able to place the steel wool between the jaws 2 and 3, respectively to be able to remove it, the jaws are separated from one another by rotating the jaw 3 around its pivot 6, as shown in phantom lines. in fig. 1. For this purpose, it is first necessary to bring the runner 7 back, on the handle 1, in order to free the tubular segment 5.

The device could have more than two jaws.

In use, the friction pad is grasped with one hand, by the handle. This prevents the steel wool from coming into contact with the hand and accidentally producing injuries there: The construction of the object of the invention could differ from the example described with regard to the drawing, in particular as regards the device used to hold steel wool. One could for example design a model with a long handle, intended to be handled with both hands.
