Phonographe portatif. Un connaît. déjà des phonographes porta tifs dont les différentes parties sont combi nées de façon qu'elles puissent être serrées dans une- boîte de petite dimension. Dans tous ces phonographes, cependant, la petitesse des parties influence considérablement la qualité du son; celui-ci sort criard directe ment de son reproducteur sans avoir été .con duit -dans .des tubes coudés susceptibles de l'ennoblir. De plus, il n'est pas possible de placer sur ces phonographes des plaques de dimensions normales, si bien que, de ce côté- là, il a également des ;désavantages compara tivement aux phonographes stables.
L'objet de la présente invention est un phonographe portatif dans lequel le bras <B>1</B> coustique nécessaire à. l'ennoblissement du son, bien que son encombrement soit réduit au minimum, est tel que la qualité du son ne souffre pas des dimensions admises. Pour cela, le bras acoustique est doublement coudé et démontable en deux parties dont la plus petite trouve complètement place .dans, l'in térieur de la plus grande.
Ce bras coudé et démontable qui n'avait. jamais été réalisé jusqu'ici dans les phonographes portatifs per- met éventuellement de conduire le son -dans un endroit quelconque de la boîte pour faire servir tout ou partie clé cette dernière comme Caisse de résonance.
Il est montré au dessin ci-annexé, à titre d'exemple, une forme.d'exécutiôn d'un phono graphe portatif selon la. présente invention. La fig. 1 le montre en perspective, et la fig. 2, en plan; la fig. 3 montre plus spé- cia.lement la position du bras acoustique en position d'audition.
En se référant au dessin, 1 est une caisse dont le couvercle 2 est passablement haut et articulé au moyen de charnières 3. Dans la. Paisse 1 est logé le moteur du phonographe. Il se remonte par la manivelle d, est bloqué au moyen d'un bouton 5 et réglé par l'inter médiaire d'un autre 6. Sur le bout. conique 7 de l'arbre moteur est fixée une plaque 8 pratiquement .carrée et dont la= surface est plus grande que la base de la. boîte, mais telle que cette plaque puisse occuper la, po sition représentée à la fig. 2. Sur cette plaque 8 se pose le -disque reproducteur 19 qui est ici montré en traits et points.
Cette. plaque est assez grande pour soutenir un disque de grandeur normale.
Le bras acoustique est en ébonite et en deux parties 9 et 10 qui toutes deux coudées s'emboîtent l'une dans l'autre en 11. La, par tie 9 trouve place à l'intérieur de la partie 10. Cette dernière est munie dans son pa villon d'un renforcement traversé par- le coude 12 d'un pivot latéral 13 qui, lorsque le phonographe est en position d'audition, trouve place à l'intérieur d'une douille 14 fixée au couvercle 2. Ces parties sont plus spécialement représentées en fig. 3 où l'on voit que le bras acoustique peut osciller dans un plan perpendiculaire au plateau autour de la partie coudée 12 de l'axe 13 et dans un plan parallèle à ce plateau à l'intérieur de la, douille 14.
A l'extrémité la plus mince -du bras acous tique est introduit l'ajustage du reproducteur 15, d'un modèle .courant. Le poids de ce der nier fait appuyer l'aiguille sur la. plaque.
En position d'audition, c'est-à-dire dans celle qui est représentée en fig. 1, les sons ,lassent dans les deux coudes du bras acous tique et sont projetés contre le couvercle 2 de la. boîte. Celui-ci forme caisse de réso nance, si bien que le son, après, avoir, passé les différents coudes du bras acoustique, est ile et fait encore amélioré.
Il est clair crue !c, son pourrait être conduit ailleurs ou qu'au moyen d'une glissière on pourrait -clore le dessus du couvercle pour faire arriver le son dans une caisse de résonance fermée de toutes part:. On pourrait alors prévoir des ouïes ans les côtés, latéraux du couvercle.
Toutes les pièces du phonographe trou vent place sous le couvercle. Le reproduc- t:cur 15 est fixé par son ajustage clans la plaque de couverture 16 .cachant le moteur. La. manivelle 4 se met en biais, comme il est représenté en fig. 2, et la, partie 10 du bras acoustique contenant la partie 9 trouve place ii côté des parties déjà nommées. La, plaque 8 enfin est introduite parallèlement à, la, pa roi verticale de la boîte dans une fente de la plaque de couverture 16 où est ménagée une échancrure<B>17</B> pour le manchon de fixa tion de la, plaque 8.
Lorsque le couvercle est rabattu, le tout a. à. peu près la gmandeur d'un appareil photographique de petite di mension.
Portable phonograph. One knows. already portable phonographs, the different parts of which are combined so that they can be packed into a small box. In all of these phonographs, however, the smallness of the parts greatly influences the quality of the sound; this one comes out loud directly from its reproducer without having been .con duced -in. bent tubes likely to ennoble it. In addition, it is not possible to place plates of normal dimensions on these phonographs, so that, on this side, it also has disadvantages compared to stable phonographs.
The object of the present invention is a portable phonograph in which the acoustic <B> 1 </B> arm necessary for. the enhancement of the sound, although its size is reduced to a minimum, is such that the quality of the sound does not suffer from the admitted dimensions. For this, the acoustic arm is double bent and can be dismantled into two parts, the smallest of which fits completely inside, the inside of the larger one.
This bent and removable arm that had no. never been produced so far in portable phonographs, it may eventually lead the sound to any place in the box to use all or part of the key as a resonance box.
It is shown in the accompanying drawing, by way of example, a forme.d'executiôn of a portable phonograph according to. present invention. Fig. 1 shows it in perspective, and FIG. 2, in plan; fig. 3 shows more specifically the position of the acoustic arm in the hearing position.
Referring to the drawing, 1 is a box, the cover 2 of which is quite high and hinged by means of hinges 3. In the. Paisse 1 is housed the motor of the phonograph. It goes up by the crank d, is blocked by means of a button 5 and adjusted by the intermediary of another 6. On the end. conical 7 of the motor shaft is fixed a plate 8 which is practically square and the surface of which is greater than the base of the. box, but such that this plate can occupy the position shown in FIG. 2. On this plate 8 is placed the reproducing disc 19 which is here shown in lines and dots.
This. plate is large enough to support a full-size disc.
The acoustic arm is made of ebonite and in two parts 9 and 10 which both angled fit into one another at 11. The, part 9 is placed inside the part 10. The latter is provided with in its cover, a reinforcement crossed by the elbow 12 of a lateral pivot 13 which, when the phonograph is in the hearing position, finds its place inside a socket 14 fixed to the cover 2. These parts are more especially shown in FIG. 3 where it can be seen that the acoustic arm can oscillate in a plane perpendicular to the plate around the bent part 12 of the axis 13 and in a plane parallel to this plate inside the socket 14.
At the thinnest end of the acoustic arm is introduced the adjustment of the reproducer 15, of a current model. The weight of the latter causes the needle to rest on the. plate.
In hearing position, that is to say in that shown in FIG. 1, the sounds, wear out in the two elbows of the acoustic arm and are projected against the cover 2 of the. box. This forms a resonant box, so that the sound, after having passed the different bends of the acoustic arm, is ile and made even better.

All parts of the phonograph hole vent place under the cover. The illustration: cur 15 is fixed by its adjustment in the cover plate 16 concealing the motor. The crank 4 goes at an angle, as shown in fig. 2, and the part 10 of the acoustic arm containing the part 9 is located next to the parts already named. The, plate 8 is finally introduced parallel to the vertical pa king of the box in a slot in the cover plate 16 where a notch <B> 17 </B> is made for the fixing sleeve of the plate 8.
When the cover is closed, the whole has. at. roughly the size of a small-sized camera.
