Description

Fuel inlet control for internal combustion engines. The invention relates to a fuel inlet control for internal combustion engines and consists in the fact that, in addition to the closing element controlling the start and end of the fuel injection, a variable throttling of the fuel is provided in the manner of a throttle cone, for the purpose of undesired Avoid pressure increases in the working cylinder during the injection period.

An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawing. The controlled fuel inlet valve c provided with the fuel supply line h opens into the combustion chamber a of an injection internal combustion engine. It has been shown that with such an inlet valve it is very difficult to control the timing of the injection in such a way that the combustion in the working cylinder takes place at constant pressure.

In most cases, a large part of the measured amount of fuel reaches the combustion chamber so suddenly at the beginning of the opening of the inlet valve that, instead of gradually, it burns like an explosion and thus gives rise to undesirable pressure increases.

In order to avoid such pressure increases, the valve is provided with an extension e protruding into a nozzle d in such a way that the remaining free flow cross-section of the nozzle widens only gradually when the valve is opened and only gradually narrows again when the valve closes.
