Fuel meter for vehicles. The invention relates to a fuel measuring device for vehicles.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely: Fig. 1 shows the measuring device in longitudinal section, in the position after filling, Fig. 2 the measurement device after the liquid has drained off, Fig. 3 shows a gear box of the measuring device in side view pushed back with a safety lever by inclined face plates, valve rod pin released,
just before downward movement of the valve. linkage, Fig.4 the section according to A-d through Fig.3. Fig. 5 is a plan view of the mechanism illustrated in Fig. 3 in the position in which the valve rod is torn upwards by it, Fig. 6 is the section according to B-B through Fig. 5.
The measuring container a is provided with a valve seat b on its upper end part and with a valve seat c on the lower part. Valve cones act on the latter in such a way that, when the upper valve b is to be closed, the associated valve cone d finally presses against the valve seat.
At the same time, the valve cone e is lifted from the lower valve seat c and releases the opening f ; so that the amount of fuel in the container a can flow through the aforementioned opening f and the openings g in the tube h to the storage container i.
To regulate the inflow of the amount of liquid under pressure in the tank through the channel k after the measuring container and to regulate the outflow of the liquid to the storage space below the measuring container, a float 1 is used, which is provided with a tubular extension m which passes through the part Yes is given its guidance when rising or falling. A rack n is provided on the part m, which acts on a gear o.
The engagement of the drive rod with the gear o is calculated in such a way that after the float has reached a certain height, the gear is released from the gear rack when the float is buoyant and the liquid flows into the measuring container. This was set up in such a way that the gearwheel o and the gearwheels o 'and p connected to it maintain free rotation.
This free rotation of the entire gear transmission is caused in the case shown by a falling weight p1 connected to gear 1) which, after the rack rt has released gear o, has exceeded its dead center position. This results in the free fall of the weight p1 downwards. Since it is now necessary to always bring the valve cones into interaction in terms of their effectiveness, the impact disk q , which has double inclined surfaces q 'and q2, is connected to the gear wheel p.
The latter act on a pin r in such a way that q pushes downwards after the swimmer descends, while q 'lifts the pin r when the swimmer is at its highest position. Since pin r forms a whole with the linkage s carrying or connecting the valve cone d and e, the valve cone e is pressed into the valve seat c by the striking surface q, while the valve cone d is pressed into the valve seat b by the striking surface q ' is pressed.
Since the float moves downwards when the liquid flows out of the measuring container a. After the latter has been filled, the valve cone d would immediately leave its position blocking the inflow to the bless container and allow further inflow during the outflow. This must not be done.
To avoid such disturbances, a resilient safety lever t is provided, which has an inclined surface t 'and a cam t =, the latter having the inclined surface t3 and inclined surface t4. When the float rises as a result of the inflow of liquid and the free fall position of the weight p 'is reached, the latter falls downwards and thus turns the disc.
Striking surface q1 hits the valve rod pin r and lifts it by sliding the pin along the inclined surface t'1 of the safety lever t. Shortly before reaching the final position of the valve cone d in the valve seat b, , the inclined surface t3 springs under the pin r and presses it, completely securing the closure of the inflow valve guarantee.
At the same time, the rigid connection between the valve cone lifts the valve cone e from the valve seat c. The liquid flows through openings g and f 'to the space i . This causes the float l to move downwards, causing the drive rod u to rotate on the gearwheel o. As a result, the gear o 'connected with o' and with the latter in turn connected gear with its falling weight p 'is also rotated.
The latter is brought over its dead position and the rack it releases the entire gear drive with your falling weight for rotation. Weight p1 falls down on the other side and pulls the striking disc q with it in the same way.
Since the pin i- is now held in place by the inclined surface t3 of the safety lever t, the striking surface q2 would hit the pin r, but there would be a resistance there, so that the inflow valve could not be opened and the outflow valve closed. In order to rule out this, an inclined surface rt is provided on the striking surface q 'which,
before the striking surface q 'reaches the pin r, acts on the inclined surface t1 of the safety lever t in such a way that the inclined surface t3 slides away from the pin r so that the latter can slide past the cam on its descent with its outer end. In the moments following the release of the pin, however, the striking surface q already hits the pin r- and tears the valve rod downwards, thus bringing the rapid closure of the drain valve.
So that the safety lever can not move further after the valve linkage etc. to itself and finally has an inhibiting effect on the work process during buoyancy and new interaction of the valve linkage, a locking pin v is provided that the safety lever t in its rest position in the appropriate Position.
The prescribed interaction of the toothed rack with your toothed gear and case or striking mechanism would now only regulate the Zrr and drainage in and from the Aless container. However, in order to also register the liquid, the drop weight tester is provided with a pin zv, which acts on a double-armed lever x at the moment when the new filling is completed.
By suitable transmission members, pins or the like y that act on a slotted linkage z, another double-armed lever 1 is actuated, which is coupled to a pulling or printing unit 2, through which the latter the movement or continuation of one Messwerk takes place. Before geous, as shown in the drawing, a traction device is available, since this is more reliable when the counter is switched to the active than a pressure element.
In order not to have an unfavorable effect on the overall effectiveness of the regulation and control system when the liquid flows into the measuring container, the valve linkage s above the float was equipped with a plate-like part 3, which removes the pressure from the float d and the gear mechanism provided underneath, etc. keeps away, since the liquid is passed through it to the side walls of the container from a.
If in the illustrated case the gear transmission, drop and hammer mechanism, as well as the lever mechanism causing the registration is attached to a bearing part 1, it is of course possible to install and adjust the parts that come into effect together with the float device in a support frame so that it is inserted into the measuring container after it has been put together.
The venting device is present in the collecting space below the measuring container in the usual way, while for the measuring container the same is located in part 5, which at the same time serves as a bearing for the recording rods.
