A la pièce j est fixé un ressort plat7 en acier portant l'armature1 qui se trouve ainsi en regard de l'extrémité libre de l'électro-aimant i. L'armature 1 a la forme d'unL dont la branche inférieure est maintenue normalement par le ressort 1a à une petite .distance de la pièce j, mais se heurte à cette pièce en limitant le mouvement de l'armature vars la, gauche lors de son at traction par i;
Source a, conducteur c, primaire, b, rhéos tat y, conducteur f, contacts a. t, lamelle p, conducteur d, source a.
Shaker for induction coils. The object of the invention is a shaker for induction coils, for example for induction coils intended for the production of currents having the nature and the frequency necessary for auscultation and medical treatments.
There are conventional shakers in which a contact device comprises a single contact mounted on a movable armature and giving closure and interruption of the primary circuit of the coil by oscillation of their armature. They are perfectly suitable, when the number of interruptions in the unit of time varies between given limits, but become of difficult and delicate application, when it is necessary to obtain numbers of interruptions in the time. unit of time higher than the upper limit above.
This drawback is avoided according to the invention thanks to the fact that the shaker comprises a contact device producing a number of interruptions of the primary circuit of the induction coil which is multiple of the number of oscillations carried out by a mobile armature of the shaker. . Under these conditions, it is possible to obtain the higher numbers of interruptions required for the. medical needs, without departing from the normal limits between which the number of ocillations - of the frame, of the shaker may vary.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the trem bleur.
Fig. 1. Is a diagram of a first embodiment and of the coil to which it is applied; Figs. 2 and 3 are an elevation and a plan of this embodiment; Fig. 4 is a plan: of the second embodiment.
According to fig. 1 a source of current a, -continuous or .alternative, supplies the primary b of the induction coil bh via, on the one hand, a conductor c, -on the other hand, d 'a conductor d, the contact device e of the first embodiment, a conductor f and. an adjustment rheostat y. The secondary -of coil b-7z is shown in h.
This embodiment comprises a box electro-magnet i. also have the fi-. 2, 3) secured horizontally to a branch of a square z which is made of a magnetic material and carrying a piece j also of a magnetic material ..
To part j is fixed a flat steel spring 7 carrying the armature 1 which is thus located opposite the free end of the electromagnet i. The frame 1 has the shape of a L whose lower branch is normally held by the spring 1a at a small distance from the part j, but collides with this part while limiting the movement of the reinforcement vars la, left when it is pulled by i;
it is, on the other hand, at a relatively small distance from the core of the electromagnet i .; in this way the air gaps are not too large and the reluctance of the ina.bnetic circuit is not too high; it is provided with a rod in, on which slides, a weight -n provided with a locking screw o, and is subjected to the action of a spring y ', hooked to a screw x carried by the. branch -iv of the, carcass z ,
which makes it possible to vary the period of oscillation of this reinforcement. By @zgzssing on the weight n and on the spring J, we can vary the duration of each oscillation by 1, including la. .duration proper is given by the weight of the armature and the parts it carries and by the rigidity of the spring k. The stroke of the reinforcement should not, however, vary too widely if it is desired to have regular spacing of the interruptions.
The frame carries an elastic conductive strip p belonging to the contact device e and having at. one of its ends a contact q intended to touch at rest a fixed contact r, to, the other two contacts st to touch, one, s, at rest a fixed contact v,. the other, t , when the frame 1 has been pulled,
a fixed contact ac. The three contacts r if v consist of screws and are thus adjustable. The corrugator d is permanently connected to the lamella p in a way that the drawing does not show. As for the con tacts u v, they are both connected to the conductor f.
The circuit of the electromagnet i. is supplied by source a and passes through conductor c, a conductor y , the fixed and movable contacts q r, the strip I3, the , conductor r1.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows: Suppose that the reinforcement d is at the , position indicated at the fib. 1.
The primary circuit b of coil b-h is closed.
Source a, conductor c, primary, b, rheos tat y, conductor f, contacts a. t, lamella p, source conductor a.
As the cireuit of the electromagnet i is also closed: Source a., conductor c, electromagnet i, conductor y, contacts qr, lamella p , source conductor a.
This electromagnet i. attracts the armature 1, breaking the circuits of i. and from b-h to q-r and t-v, but closing the circuit from b-la to s-zc. This armature 1, released, goes back, reopens the circuit from b-h to s-tt and closes it to t-v, while closing again the circuit from i to q-r; the same; operations then begin again.
From what precedes it follows that there is. two interruptions of the primary circuit b for a complete oscillation of the armature 1.
In the second embodiment (fib. 4), making it possible to obtain four interruptions of the primary current b by complete oscillation of the armature 1, the contacts u v </ I> that come to touch the contacts st of the melle p, shorter and more rigid than before, are each carried by an elastic melle and conduetri.ce 1 or?; the two slats 1,? ; have attached to an insulating pillar 3 and each carry a contact 4 or 5 which can touch a contact 6 or i carried by an insulated pillar 3 connected to the conductor f of the fi. 1.
The operation of the second embodiment takes place as follows: At the position indicated by fib. 4, the neck. tact rq of the blade p is engaged with the contact r, so that the circuit of the electromagnet i. is closed; the two contacts s t, on the other hand, do not touch the coutaets ic v, so that the primary circuit b is open.
As a result of the attraction exerted on the ar mature l and: of its movement to the left, the contact q leaves the contact r and opens the circuit of the electromagnet i. On the other hand, the contact s of the strip p engages with the contact u of the .lamelle 1; First, there is closing of the primary circuit b, since s key u and 4 is still engaged with 6, then opening of this circuit between 4 and 6, because 4 separates from 6.
. When this armature comes back and 'moves from left to right, there is first closure of the circuit, because s is still in contact with u and 4 comes back constant with 6, second, opening of this circuit between s and u, because s is separated from u, in the third place closing said circuit, because .that t comes into contact with v. while 5 and 7 are still in gear,
finally rupture of the circuit between 5 and 7 due to the fact: that 5 moves away from 7. From this moment the ar mature 1 returns from right to left towards its rest position; the circuit is closed: again at 5 and 7 which come back in contact while t and v are still engaged, then is broken one last time because t separates from v. For each complete oscillation of the armature l there are therefore four closings and four interruptions of the primary circuit b. The same operations then begin again.
The current flow times: in the primary b are given by the elasticity of the blades p, 1, 2, and by the spaces between the contacts s and u, t and v.
Instead of using a lame electromagnet, one could use an electromagnet having another shape, for example that of a horseshoe.
The number of primary circuit interruptions can be greater than double or quadruple: the number of armature oscillations.
