Un exemple de réalisation de l'invention est représenté au dessin annexé, dans lequel: La fig. 1 est une vue en élévation de côté, partie en coupe suivant la ligne 1-1 de la fig. 2, montrant l'armature ou partie métal lique du dispositif d'assemblage, et La fig. 2 en est une vue en élévation de face; La fig. 3 est une vue en plan de dessus, à plus grande échelle, et La fig. 4, une vue en coupe transversale également à plus grande échelle, suivant la ligne 4-4 de la fig. 1;
Device for the removable assembly, without perforation, of sheets for notebooks, registers,!; utc. This invention relates to a device for the removable assembly, without perforation, of sheets for notebooks, registers etc., comprising a rigid reinforcing bar forming a support, in the form of a channel, and an articulated assembly rod. at one end of this support bar and capable of being removably held in the other end thereof by the intermediary of a locking piece carried by the rod and arranged to snap into a retaining part of the support bar.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, in which: FIG. 1 is a side elevational view, partly in section taken along line 1-1 of FIG. 2, showing the frame or metal part of the assembly device, and FIG. 2 is a front elevational view; Fig. 3 is a top plan view, on a larger scale, and FIG. 4, a cross-sectional view also on a larger scale, taken along line 4-4 of FIG. 1;
Fig. 5 represents a view in longitudinal section, on a larger scale, taken along line 5-5 of FIG. 2, and FIG. 6 is a sectional view similar to that of, FIG. 5, showing the rod for retaining the movable leaves in the initial release position; Finally;, Fig.- 7 is a cross-sectional view of a notebook showing the assembly of loose sheets.
In the example shown, the frame of the assembly device comprises a rigid reinforcing bar a in the form of a channel which is terminated at its upper part by a rim bent at right angles in the form of a plate b pierced with a central hole; - through this hole passes the rod c for assembling the movable leaves, which at its upper outer end has a CI. bulge.
A- its lower part, the rigid assembly bar a comprises a flange b1 in the form of a plate e, analobgueù b, having a right notch h for the passage of the assembly rod c; this notch connects to a circular hole (fig. 4) in which can engage a conical head d2 of a bushing dl, locking worm, provided with an operating button d.
In the sleeve -dl is housed a spring e pressed, on the one hand, against an inner shoulder of dl and, on the other hand, on the head c2 which terminates the lower end of the rod c.
It can thus be seen that in the position mon trée in section in FIG. 5 and in solid lines in FIG. 1, the spring e applies the conical head d- 'in the circular hole connected to the notch la, in order to hold the latch dl and, consequently, the rod c as shown in said figures.
To release the rod c, we pull on the button d to compress the spring e (fil-. 6) and thus release the head d \ from the circular hole connected to the notch h., Which then allows the l to slide. 'lower end of the rod c out of the right notch h, the upper head cl serving as an articulation pivot and at the same time as a retainer (fig. 1, position in phantom).
To constitute a loose-leaf book, as shown in FIG. ?, the rigid reinforcing bar a is fixed on the cardboard, leather or the like forming the binding j. by means of a bar also curved f, the two bars a and f being hand held against each other by rivets g which. pass through the binding j.
In order to position the sheets i., The rod c is released and it is given the inclined position shown in phantom in fig. 1, which makes it possible to slide the notebook of sheets i between the rod c and the. armature bar a, which may be made of metal; then, pulling the button d and compressing the spring e, one gives to the. rod c the position shown in solid lines on the fi-. 1, operation by which one. apply the back of the sheets i, in the, channel-shaped bar a.
To change the slips i. we obviously proceed in the opposite direction.
Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment shown. So. the end cl of the rod c can be articulated using a small pin on the upper edge b.
