Die Federn ia v7erden so abge stimmt, dass ihr Druch eine so grosse Rei bung erzeugt, als notwendig ist, um ein ganz bestimmtes maximales Drehmoment noch aufzubringen. Wird dieses Drehmoment i-,i der einen oder andern Drehrichtuno;
Device for starting explosion engines by means of an electric motor. In the main patent, a device on starting electric motors is described, which allows the drive and starting of explosion motors with a relatively high torque, without unduly stressing the battery, d. H. without letting the current consumption surges become too large. However, the embodiment according to the main patent still has a disadvantage.
During a normal starting process, i. H. A starting process in which the explosion engine starts immediately after more or fewer revolutions will not result in any complications. However, improper handling can cause the starter engine to suffer very sensitive blows, which not infrequently result in its destruction. Experience has shown that there are mainly two cases here.
After a few initial explosions, the explosion motor can throw the drive gear with the tilting sleeve out of engagement in the normal way and then come to a standstill again while the driver still keeps the starter motor under power, whereby the latter achieves very high revs.
Then, in order to bring the drive gear back into mesh with the ring gear of the flywheel, he will interrupt the contact for a moment and switch it on again immediately while the starter engine is still running at high speed. This then brings about the intervention with great force, and through the force of the. In most cases, rotor mass occurs in some part.
The other case consists in the fact that after a few explosions have initially taken place and the drive gear with the tilting sleeve has been properly thrown out of engagement, a sudden kickback is caused by an excessively large pre-ignition -Z, which moves the explosion engine backwards brings. There are motors which, in such cases, complete several revolutions in reverse rotation, with a fairly high number of revolutions being achieved.
Should it occur to the driver at this moment to operate the starter motor to put an end to this condition, destruction can occur again as the teeth of the drive gear and the flywheel ring gear collide with great force in the opposite direction, as the moving masses which are very large, rotate in opposite directions. ' According to the invention, this cbel stand is eliminated by
that the drive between the starter engine and the explosion engine is not made absolutely rigid, but only to a certain extent, so that it yields when a certain maximum torque is exceeded. This is achieved in that a slip clutch that is known per se is switched on at any point between the starter engine and the explosion engine.
This anti-slip cap can be switched on: 1. between the starter rotor and the rotor axis, 2. between the rotor axis and the motor gear, 3. between the counter gear and the drive gear, and between the flywheel ring gear and the flywheel.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of case 3 is shown, that is, the installation of the slip clutch between the countershaft gear and the drive gear.
Fig. 1 shows the starter gear in longitudinal section; Fig. 2 is a normal section along line 4-A through the countershaft gear; Fig. 3 is a top view of one friction blade, and Fig. D is a top view of the other friction. liungslamelle.
On the shaft i of the starter motor, the motor gear e is firmly propelled by means of a pin square. The motor gear e engages in the countersunk gear wheel f, which takes the drive gear q with it.
The latter comes from the pivoting action of the tilting sleeve d, which is carried along when starting by a device not shown in the drawing; for engagement with the ring gear k on the flywheel of the explosion engine. The drive gear g is rotatably mounted on the bolt h in the tilting sleeve.
On the one hand it is equipped with a cylindrical attachment on which the countershaft gear can rotate. The latter -is provided with larger recesses on both sides, in which the entire slip clutch is housed without the normal gear width having to be exceeded.
The cylindrical extension on the gear g is provided with longitudinal grooves g, in which corresponding approaches of the friction plates l fit, so that the latter are inevitably connected to the gear g. Between the lamellas l is another friction lamella .in, which is inevitably connected to the latter by similar grooves (1 in the gear f and corresponding approaches).
The pressure necessary to achieve the frictional connection is brought up by a number of springs n, which are looped together in a circle and find their hold on a disk o which is secured in the axial direction.
The springs are generally tuned in such a way that their pressure generates as much friction as is necessary to still generate a certain maximum torque. If this torque i-, i of one or the other direction of rotation;
If this is exceeded, slipping occurs and the device is spared. The maximum torque is chosen to be high enough to be able to drive even the largest explosion engine under normal circumstances.
