Description

Ofenaufsatz.

Oven attachment. There are furnace attachments known in which the furnace pipe opens into a distribution housing in which a flap is arranged that can be adjusted so that the heating gases when firing directly from the housing into a pipe leading into the chimney ge long, however Continuous operation first run through a circular, winding pipe and only then step into the exhaust pipe.

Furthermore, furnace attachments are known in which the stovepipe is branched ver into three pipes, which open into a common, leading into the chimney flue and in which an adjustable flap at the branch point of the stove pipe and at the mouth of the pipes in the common flue pipe Fixed partition is arranged in such a way that, depending on the position of the flap, the heating gases when firing through one of the three pipes directly into the common flue pipe, on the other hand for continuous operation to increase the heating effect one after the other through the three parallel pipes and can then be passed into the common exhaust pipe.

The furnace attachment according to the invention differs from this latter arrangement in that an adjustable flap is provided instead of the fixed septum at the point where the three parallel pipes join the common exhaust pipe. This ensures that the three branch pipes can be connected in parallel when the fire is lit, which considerably increases the pulling effect compared to the old arrangement, in which the smoke gases could only be pulled through one of the three branch pipes when the fire was lit.

In the drawing, the subject of the invention is illustrated, for example. The stove pipe 1 opens into a lower hood 2, from which the three branch pipes 3, 4 and 5 lead into an upper hood 6, to which the exhaust pipe 7, which opens into the chimney, is connected. In the lower hood 2 an externally rotatable flap 8 and in the upper hood 6 a likewise externally rotatable flap 9 is attached.

When the fire is lit, both flaps are brought into a vertical position so that the three branch pipes 3, 4 and 5 are connected in parallel and the heating gases from the furnace pipe 1 and the lower hood 2 through the parallel branch pipes into the upper hood 6 and the flue pipe 7 stream. If the firing material is sufficiently burnt, the flaps 8 and 9 are brought into the inclined position shown in the drawing, so that the heating gases in the direction of the arrows drawn, i.e. one behind the other, through the three branch pipes and then into the flue pipe 7 stream.

PATENT CLAIM: Stove attachment in which the stovepipe is branched into three pipes which open into a common flue pipe leading into the chimney, and in which an adjustable flap is arranged at the branching point, characterized by a second adjustable flap on the The point where the branch pipes open into the flue pipe, the whole thing in such a way that the three branch pipes can be connected in parallel when the fire is lit, but in series for continuous operation.
