Description

Process for the production of stone-like building elements. The present invention is a method for the production of stone-like components for. Example of a wall. It is known that lime binds very quickly with alkali carbonates, even under water. This is why it was previously not possible to press stone-like building elements from calcareous mortars, fillers and a solution of alkali carbonate. because the lime bond with the alkali carbonate occurred before the pressing was completed.

The method according to the present invention is intended to make this possible. After this, a filler, for example sand, gravel, crushed slag, ash, etc., depending on the type of stone-like building element to be produced, is dry mixed with a calcareous mortar, for example lime or cement. On the other hand, a fine, neutral powder, for example iron hydroxide, is moistened with a solution of an alkali carbonate, for example potassium carbonate or sodium carbonate, so that it forms a slightly crumbly mass.

These two materials are mixed thoroughly, shaped into a component and pressed. Tests have shown that the lime is then bound to the alkali carbonate only during pressing. This is probably due to the fact that the addition of the neutral powder does not allow sufficient alkali carbonate solution to reach the lime. As a result of the pressure, the solution first emerges from the neutral powder, and then sufficient solution is available for the lime to bind and harden. Example 1d part sand, 2 \ file cement and 1 part lime are mixed.

In addition, 2 parts of iron hydroxide are moistened with a potassium carbonate solution of about 20% content to form a slightly crumbly mass. The overall mixture is then shaped and pressed.

Depending on the intended use of the stone-like component @, the mutual conditions of the substances can be changed to one another.

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of stone-like construction elements, characterized in that filler is mixed dry with a lime-containing mortar and then this mixture is mixed with a fine, neutral powder, which is mixed with a solution of an alkali metal carbonate to form a weakly crumbly mass, whereupon the entire mixture is shaped and pressed.
