Description
Tarpaulin instrument. The present invention relates to a tarpaulin instrument which is particularly useful in the household.
The tarpaulin instruments which are used in the household generally comprise one or more flat blades, elongated and in an arc of a circle, which the housewife oscillates in a plane perpendicular to that supporting the material to be covered. The experience a. shown due to this oscillating movement is very tiring for the housewife and the present invention aims to eliminate it. For this purpose, the tarpaulin instrument according to the present invention comprises several flat and circular blades mounted parallel to each other on a support intended for. be moved parallel to the surface supporting the material to be covered.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1. the watch in front elevation, part in section, and the fi-. 2, in side elevation.
The tarpaulin shown comprises four flat circular blades a forcefully engaged on the shaft b and held in place on the latter by screws c screwed into a shoulder and coming to rest against the surface of the shaft. On each end of the latter is mounted, so as to be able to turn freely, a wooden socket, forming a handle. This bush is held on the shaft by a nut which is screwed onto a screw thread made at the end of said shaft.
To use the instrument, each of the handles is grasped with one hand and it is moved in a reciprocating motion in a plane parallel to that carrying the material to be covered. The shaft turns in the handles and the blades move perpendicular to the plane carrying the material to be covered, while rotating on themselves.
