Abstract

Un fer droit comporte une poignée à une extrémité supérieure dune tige du fer droit pouvant être saisie dune seule main par lutilisateur, tandis quune partie supérieure de la tige entre la poignée et la tête doit être saisie par lautre main de lutilisateur. La poignée est disposée de sorte à permettre un mouvement pendulaire par rapport à la partie supérieure de la tige le long dune trajectoire angulaire prédéterminée définie autour dun axe transversal de la poignée distinct dun axe de tige de sorte que la poignée puisse être maintenue de façon stationnaire par lutilisateur et la tige déplacée dans un mouvement de balancier vers lavant le long de la trajectoire angulaire prédéterminée pour frapper une balle de golf. Une tête de fer droit est reliée de manière à pouvoir pivoter à une extrémité inférieure de la tige de façon à pouvoir tourner autour dun axe de pivotement transversal distinct entre une position de départ dans laquelle un plan dimpact est essentiellement parallèle à laxe de la tige et une position de fin oblique dans laquelle le plan dimpact forme un angle avec celui-ci, de sorte que le plan dimpact de la tête puisse rester essentiellement normal par rapport à la surface dappui après le contact initial avec la balle de golf pendant le mouvement de balancier vers lavant.
