Abstract
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de chauffage par induction électrique de billette sans rail dans lesquels des billettes sont chauffées de manière continue ou statique par induction en déplaçant les billettes sans rails de support de billette à travers une bobine d'induction alimentée en courant alternatif lorsque les billettes sont en contact coulissant direct avec la surface intérieure d'un curseur de billette de graphite et d'argile disposé à l'intérieur de la bobine d'induction. Le curseur de billette de graphite et d'argile peut également fournir une isolation thermique entre la bobine d'induction et le curseur de billette de graphite et d'argile pour éliminer l'exigence d'un réfractaire de bobine d'induction séparé.
