Abstract
Selon l'invention, un matériau solide auto-incandescent comprend un mélange métallique artificiel contenant au moins un métal des terres rares et un oxyde de fer. Le matériau peut être allumé par initiation de flamme pour qu'il produise une auto-incandescence avec des couleurs jaune à rouge (longueurs d'onde de 577 à 700 nanomètres). Une munition traceuse furtive comprend un corps de projectile ayant une pointe et une base, et une pastille solide disposée dans la base. La pastille peut être fabriquée à partir du matériau solide auto-incandescent mentionné ci-dessus ou d'un autre matériau approprié.
