Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système pour la torréfaction d'une biomasse et la combustion des gaz de torréfaction générés. Les gaz de torréfaction libérés à partir de la biomasse pendant la réaction de torréfaction sont retirés du réacteur et alimentés dans une première zone de combustion. Un flux d'air secondaire est introduit dans la première zone de combustion pour brûler les gaz de torréfaction, après quoi des gaz de fumée chauds sont obtenus. Une partie des gaz de fumée chauds est acheminée vers une unité de mélange. Le reste du gaz de fumée chaud est acheminé vers une deuxième zone de combustion pour la combustion complète des gaz de fumée. Les gaz de fumée complètement brûlés obtenus dans la deuxième zone de combustion sont acheminés vers une unité de récupération de chaleur où la température du gaz de fumée est diminuée. Une partie des gaz de fumée froids est acheminée vers l'unité de mélange où elle est mélangée aux gaz de de fumée chauds de telle sorte qu'un flux de gaz de fumée refroidis est obtenu. Le flux de gaz de de fumée refroidis est dévié dans le réacteur de torréfaction pour un chauffage direct de la biomasse.
