Retaining clip constituting a locking device and / or unlocking a head of a tool, such as a corer.
The invention relates to the general field of coring soil or rock, to go a wellbore. The invention relates more particularly to the field of tools for retrieving, entering or clearing a tool, such as a corer or analogous, in the wellbore. It relates to a holding clip constituting a device for locking and / or unlocking a head of the tool. It also relates to such a locking device and / or unlocking comprising at least two such holding clamps.
In the field of coring, it is known to use a corer for take a sample of soil, rock or the like. The corer is globally arranged in a tube defining an interior volume for the reception of the sample to collect. The corer is composed of two parts: an inner part and a outer part. The outer part consists mainly of tubes forming an envelope of the inner part, the latter being mobile in descent and ascending inside the borehole to recover the sample. The handling of the inner part of the corer is carried out by Through a locking device and / or unlocking that is interposed between the corer head and a handling cable.
US 2004/0195852 (Beach) discloses such a locking device and / or unlocking the corer head. The device is intended for grab reversibly the corer's head, to allow the descent or ascent of the latter inside the wellbore. For this purpose, the device is apt to be arranged in the seizing position of the corer head, in which the device maintains the latter. The device is also susceptible to be arranged in the position of disengagement of the corer head, in which the device releases and / or releases the corer head.
The holding clips are pivotally mounted on the tube elongate.
The holding clamps comprise respective first ends for grab the corer's head. For this purpose, the first ends are consistent grip hook of the corer head. In particular, each pliers of holding has an end which is arranged in a point having a half-triangular section. The tip includes a contact face that is intended to bear against the head of the tool and a ramp included between a edge of the contact face and an end edge.
The holding tongs are organs that undergo stress important mechanical properties and are therefore subject to regular wear is detrimental. In addition, the holding clips regularly undergo shock with, and friction against, the head of the tool which amplifies their wear premature. Such wear requires long maintenance operations and expensive, which frequently involve the replacement of the holding clamps used by new holding tongs, such a replacement proving to be restrictive.
An object of the present invention is to provide a holding clip which is arranged to meet the aforementioned drawbacks, and which is particularly resistant to wear phenomena. Another purpose of this invention is to provide a locking device and / or unlocking who comprises at least one pair of such holding clips, which is robust and perennial and finally that is also optimized with regard to the security of a operator, especially from a minimization of a risk of falling from one tool carried by means of such holding clips.
A holding clip of the present invention is a holding clip constituting a device for locking and / or unlocking a head of a tool. The holding clip is extended along an axis of general elongation of the

The holding clip includes a slip ramp of the head of the tool.
According to the present invention, the sliding ramp forms with the axis of general elongation an angle which is between 00 and 45.

In the field of coring, it is common to have to maneuver a tool 1 at bottom of a wellbore 2. The tool 1 is preferably a corer which is for taking a core of rock, soil or the like from the bottom of the well of drilling 2. However, tool 1 is likely to be of a different nature without derogate from the rules of the present invention that will be set forth. For lead the tool 1 at the bottom of the wellbore 2 and / or to reassemble the tool 1 since the background of well 2, the tool 1 is held by a locking device and / or unlocking 3 which is interposed between the tool 1 and a handling cable
The handling cable 4 is in connection with a motor member 5, winch or analogue, which is able to maneuver on descent and / or ascent cable of handling 4, in particular by winding the latter on a pulley of 6. The locking and / or unlocking device 3 constitutes a connecting piece between the handling cable 4 and the tool 1. The device locking and / or unlocking 3 comprises a connecting member 7, such eyelet, ring or the like, to the handling cable.
of locking and / or unlocking 3 is arranged to be able to seize way reversible head 8 of the tool 1. The head 8 of the tool 1 is of a conformation particular, common to many tools 1, and particularly common to corers used in the field of drilling. The head 8 of the tool 1 presents a substantially triangular section, diagrammatically illustrated in FIG.
having a point 9 facing upwards in the position of use of tool 1 shown in Figure 1. The head 8 of the tool 1 includes a restriction 10 which facilitates a gripping of the tool 1 by the device of locking and / or unlocking 3. The annular restriction 10 is interposed between the point 9 and a body 11 of the tool 1. The tip 9 has an outer face 26 which is of conical conformation and which constitutes a friction surface against which holding tongs 17, 17 ', visible in FIGS. 3 to 6, constituting of locking and / or unlocking device 3 slide in contact narrow.
In FIG. 3, the locking and / or unlocking device 3 comprises a proximal end 12 which is provided with the connecting member 7 and a distal end 13 which has a cage 14 for receiving the head 8 of the tool 1 inside an interior volume 15 of the cage 14. The cage 14 involves to this effect a passage hole 16 through which the head 8 of the tool 1 is circulating for its locking or for its extraction after unlocking. In position of locking, the cage 14 constitutes a closed enclosure of confinement of the head 8 of the tool 1. The passage opening 16 and the connecting member 7 are willing at opposite ends of the locking and / or unlocking device 3 who is broadly extended along an axis of general extension A1 which merges with the direction of the Earth's gravity force when the tool is in position for use in a vertical wellbore. To ensure the grip of the head 8 of the tool 1, the cage 14 houses the pair of holding tongs 17, 17 'which are diametrically distributed with respect to the general axis of extension Al.
pliers 17,17 'are confined within the cage 14 which constitute a protective envelope of these. In other words, for an observer outside the locking device and / or unlocking 3, the clamps of 17.17 'hold are inaccessible. The holding tongs 17, 17 'include a respective distal tip 18, 18 'which is shaped as a hook for gripping of the head 8 of the tool 1. More particularly, the distal ends 18, 18 'of the tongs 17,17 'are provided to come into contact with the annular restriction 10 of the head 8 of the tool 1 and grip the latter for its maintenance.
In FIG. 4, each holding clip 17, 17 'is pivotally mounted on a respective rod 19,19 'which is itself pivotally mounted on a chappe common to the holding clamps 17,17 '. Each 19,19 'connecting rod is provided a connecting pivot 21,21 'with the holding clip 17,17' to which it is affected. In other words, each rod 19,19 'pivots around the pivot point 21.21 ' who is assigned to him. In other words, each rod 19,19 'pivots on the chappe common to both connecting rods 19,19 '. Each holding clip 17, 17 'is provided with a distal orifice 22, 22 'and a proximal orifice 23, 23' which are respectively distributed on either side of the connection pivot 21,21 ' includes the holding clip 17, 17 'to which they are assigned. In other words, the pivot of link 21,21 'of each holding clip 17,17' is interposed between the hole distal 22,22 'and the proximal orifice 23,23' assigned to each holding clip 17.17.
The distal orifices 22, 22 'and the proximal orifices 23, 23' are of a shape oblong and are radially extended along a radial axis A2 which is orthogonal to the axis Al extension. Each distal orifice 22, 22 'houses a distal finger 24,24 'and each proximal orifice 23, 23 'houses a proximal finger 25, 25'. Fingers distal 24,24 'and the proximal fingers 25,25' are indifferently constitutive of, or reported on the cage 14. These provisions are such that from a first translational movement T1 of the common chappe 20 along the axis extension A1, the holding tongs 17, 17 'are movable according to a second movement in translation T2 along the radial axis A2, from a sliding distal orifices 22, 22 'and proximal apertures 23, 23' respectively along the fingers distal 24,24 'and proximal fingers 25,25'. Also, the holding clamps 17.17 ' are movable in translation relative to each other from a position opening in which the distal fingers 22,22 'on the one hand and the fingers proximal 23,23 'on the other hand are distant from a maximum distance, up to a closing position in which the distal fingers 22,22 'on the one hand and the proximal fingers 23,23 'on the other hand are distant from a minimum distance. A
such second movement in translation T2 holding clamps 17,17 'is intended at the setting and / or release of the head 8 of the tool 1. Such a second translational movement T2 requires a minimum space requirement for a deflection of the holding tongs 17, 17 ', so that the cage 14 is a continuous casing, free of grooves, holding clips 17.17. As a result, the holding tongs 17, 17 ', in position of closure in which the holding tongs 17,17 'enclose the head 8 of the tool 1, or in the open position in which the holding clamps release the head 8 of tool 1, are inaccessible to any object and / or user external to the 14. It ultimately results in a secure and optimized operation of a such locking and / or unlocking device 3.
Each distal end 18, 18 'of a holding clip 17, 17' comprises advantageously a sliding ramp 27,27 'against which is supported at least partially the outer face 26 of the head 8 of the tool 1, when introducing the head of the tool 1 inside the cage 14 (Figure 5).
According to the present invention, the sliding ramp 27, 27 'forms with an axis of general extension A3 of the retaining clip 17, 17 'to which the ramp of slip is affected, an angle ci which is between 00 and 45.
In other words, the angle a is greater than or equal to 00 and is less than or equal to 45. According to variant illustrated in FIG. 4, the angle α is zero so that the ramp of sliding 27,27 'and the axis of general elongation A3 are parallel. In this figure, the angle has however, is represented fictitiously between the slip ramp 27, 27 'and axis of general elongation A3 to clarify the understanding of its location so that structurally the angle a is zero. As shown in Figure 3, axis A3 is parallel and merges with the Al axis.
The sliding ramp 27,27 'is interposed between a support stop 28,28' and an outer face 30,30 'which respectively comprises each distal tip 18.18. The support stop 28,28 'is intended to bear against a shoulder 29 of the head 8 of the tool 1 (Figure 6). The shoulder 29 is provided between the tip 9 and the annular restriction 10 of the head 8 of the tool 1.
The shoulder 29 horizontal. It therefore extends in the direction of the axis A2. The face outer 30,30 'is the respective face of each distal end 18,18' which is turned towards the passage opening 16. In other words, the sliding ramp 27,27 ' is an intermediate surface between the bearing stop 28,28 'and the face outer 30,30 'of each holding clip 17,17'. In the immobilization position of the head 8 of the tool 1 (Figure 6), the sliding ramp 27,27 'constitutes at least partially a bearing surface of the holding clamp 17,17 'against the annular restriction 10 of the head of the tool 1. Such a bearing surface of the The present invention is intended to wear without altering the support abutment 28.28.
According to the variant illustrated in FIG. 4, in which the angle a is zero, the ramp sliding 27,27 'is provided orthogonally to the abutment 28,28' that includes each support clip 17,17 '. The slip ramp 27,27 ' has a length L which is between 30% and 100% of a thickness E
of the distal tip 18, 18 '. Preferably, the length L is of the order of 70%
of thickness E to within 10%. The thickness E is taken between the support stop 28.28 ' and the outer face 30,30 'respectively of the distal ends 18,18'. The thickness E is to be considered as the maximum distance between the support stop 28,28 'and the outer face 30,30 'respectively of the distal ends 18,18'.
According to the variant illustrated in FIG. 4, in which the angle a is zero, each slip ramp 27,27 'is shaped as a portion of a cylinder 100 arranged around a generator G which is confused with the axis of elongation A3 general of the holding clamp 17, 17 'at which the slip ramp 27,27 'is affected. The general elongation axis A3 of each gripper retention 17, 17 'is parallel to the axis of general extension Al of the device of locking and / or unlocking 3. These provisions are such that the ramp sliding 27,27 'is resistant to wear phenomena because of its length L, which allows the removal of material by friction without altering its ability to hold the head 8 of the tool 1. The inclination of the ramp sliding 27,27 'with respect to the general elongation axis A3 is most preferred.
low possible to provide the largest possible slip surface, in order to reduce as much as possible an alteration of the support stop 28,28 '. Indeed, the sliding ramp 27,27 'thus formed between the bearing stop 28,28' and the outer face 30,30 'forms an obstacle to the alteration of the support abutment 28.28. However, each holding clip 17, 17 'includes a wear indicator 101, such as a relief, a groove, a graduation or the like, which is preferentially arranged on a lateral face 102, 102 'of the distal tip 18.18.
The lateral face 102, 102 'is for example a face interposed between the abutment of connection 28,28 'and the outer face 30,30', the side face 102,102 'being secante to the slip ramp 27,27 '.
To further improve its wear resistance, each clamp 17.17 '
