Abstract
Certains moteurs sont alimentés en carburant à des fins autres que la combustion pour l'entraînement. Ces moteurs prennent plus de temps à démarrer et ont une efficacité réduite dans certains modes de fonctionnement. Un système d'amélioration de carburant pour un moteur à combustion interne comprend un approvisionnement en carburant en communication fluidique avec le moteur à combustion interne et en assurant l'approvisionnement en carburant pour l'entraînement. Un dispositif à carburant est en communication fluidique avec l'approvisionnement en carburant et utilise le carburant à des fins autres qu'une source d'énergie pour la combustion dans le moteur à combustion interne. Une soupape permet d'établir de manière sélective la communication fluidique entre l'approvisionnement en carburant et le dispositif à carburant. La soupape est fermée pour désactiver le dispositif à carburant entre les utilisations afin de réduire la demande dirigée vers l'approvisionnement en carburant.
