Abstract

Système de séparation comprenant un séparateur à air qui, selon un mode de réalisation, reçoit principalement des déchets solides municipaux (DSM) contenant un mélange de matières recyclables de DSM relativement légères, comme du plastique, du papier, du carton, des contenants de plastique ou des contenants de métal, ainsi que des DSM relativement lourds, comme des textiles, des déchets de cuisine, des débris de jardin, etc. Le séparateur à air souffle les matières recyclables de DSM relativement légères vers le haut à travers une chambre et sur un premier convoyeur tandis que les autres matières de DSM relativement lourdes descendent un couloir vers un deuxième convoyeur. Un écran de séparation reçoit les matières recyclables de DSM relativement légères du séparateur à air et sépare les matières de fibre et de pellicule plastique relativement plates des autres contenants de papier, de plastique et de métal. Lors dune autre étape de séparation, un émetteur électrostatique est adjacent à un convoyeur afin dappliquer une charge électrostatique pour faciliter la séparation des matières recyclables de DSM. Un système didentification optique est configuré pour distinguer différents types de matières recyclables.
