Abstract
L'invention porte sur un appareil et un procédé pour surveiller et/ou commander un refroidissement cryogénique par la mesure de l'opacité du nuage de vapeur (113) généré par un dispositif de refroidissement cryogénique (112). L'opacité est déterminée par la mesure de la réduction en intensité d'un faisceau lumineux (127) qui a été amené à passer à travers le nuage de vapeur (113). Les mesures d'opacité sont utilisées pour contrôler un paramètre fonctionnel du système, tel que la vitesse de refroidissement du dispositif de refroidissement cryogénique (112). Les mesures d'opacité peuvent être normalisées pour compenser des variables, autres que la température de la pièce de travail (119) et la vitesse de refroidissement, qui peuvent affecter l'opacité du nuage de vapeur (113).
