Abstract
La présente invention a trait à un système et un procédé nettoyage pour l'élimination de débris métalliques à partir d'un écoulement de fluide, tel qu'un écoulement de boues de forage recyclées mettant en oeuvre une ou des unités magnétiques positionnées dans le chemin du fluide pour la collecte de particules métalliques à partir de l'écoulement. L'unité magnétique comporte un noyau d'aimant amovible positionné dans un manchon amagnétique. Lorsque le noyau est retiré du manchon les particules métalliques attirées sont amenées à se détacher du manchon par la force de gravité pour faciliter leur collecte et leur élimination. Un déflecteur de fluide est positionné en amont de chaque unité magnétique, protégeant l'unité magnétique d'un impact direct par l'écoulement fort. Les unités magnétiques peuvent pivoter latéralement et leur position dans l'écoulement peut être ajustée.
