Abstract
The embodiment of this invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
1. This invention as a TEMPORARY PROTECTION BARRIER FOR ROOF
TOP WORKMAN AND MATERIALS from falling from rooftops.
2. The system consists of "Metal Main Member" which is reinforced and hangs over an outside wall of the building. The "Main Member" has attached by pins or bolts a "Second Metal Member", which has attached to 3 brackets which hold the 2 x 6 guardrails.
3. The system can be expanded and lengthened by adding a number "Main Member" and "Second Member" and guardrails.

Description
TEMPORARY PROTECTION BARRIER FOR
ROOF TOP WORI~VIAN AND MATERIALS
1. Main Member The "Main Member" is 821/2 " x 1.25 " tubing secured over the outside wall of the building by an 81/2" reinforced end bracket cut from 3/16 " steel plate.
ROOF TOP WORI~VIAN AND MATERIALS
1. Main Member The "Main Member" is 821/2 " x 1.25 " tubing secured over the outside wall of the building by an 81/2" reinforced end bracket cut from 3/16 " steel plate.
2. The "Main Member" is reinforced by 2 gussets, 3" x 3" x 1" composed of 1/8"
steel plate. (Figure 1.0, lA and 1B) 3. The "Main Member" is also reinforced by 54" x 1", 27"x 1" and a 21 1/2 " x 1"
tubing welded to the "Main Member". (Figure 1.0, 1.A). There is welded to the "Main Member" a 30" x 1 1/4" perpendicular brace. The 30" brace has a 6" x 1 1/4 " steel plate with a 5/8" hole for bolting or pinning. This is bolted or pinned to the "Second Member". (Figure lA) 4. The "Second Member" of the TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE BARRIER
FOR ROOF TOP WORKMAN AND MATERIALS is a 4' x 1.25" tubing attached to the "Main Member" by pins or bolts.

The "Second Member" of the TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE BARRIER
FOR ROOF TOP WORKMAN AND MATERIALS is a 4' x 1.25" tubing attached to the "Main Member" by pins or bolts.
5. The "Second Member" has welded to it 3, 4" x 4"x 2" x 2" x 1/4" steel brackets which hold 2" x 6" planks. This forms the "Guardrails for the System" (Figure 1C, 1D) 6. The TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE BARRIER FOR ROOF TOP
WORKMAN AND MATERIALS can be expanded by adding to the system multiple numbers of "Main Members" and multiple numbers of "Second Members".
WORKMAN AND MATERIALS can be expanded by adding to the system multiple numbers of "Main Members" and multiple numbers of "Second Members".
7. The TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE BARRIER FOR ROOF TOP
WORKMAN AND MATERIALS can be lengthened by using a "Pinned Slip Joint", which will allow the system to be utilized for roofs of different pitches.
TECHNICAL FIELD
This is a temporary protective barrier system that protects workman and their materials from falling from rooftops.
BEST OF MODE OF MANUFACTURE
The invention is a metal temporary protective barrier for rooftop workman and materials that can be set up temporarily on individual buildings.
The "Main Members" with attached "Second Members" along with 2" x 6"
planks are attached together to provide for the temporary protective barrier.
The reinforced "Main Members" and "Second Members" are fabricated from 1" x 1.25" metal tubing. The "Members" are attached to each other by either pins or bolts. The "Guardrails" are made of 2" x 6" planks which set in the 3 brackets welded to the "Second Members"
The invention is used in rooftop construction to prevent workman and their materials from falling from the rooftop.
