Abstract
L'invention concerne un système de reproduction sonore comprenant des haut-parleurs gauche et droit placés à proximité l'un de l'autre, et un processeur de sons fournissant des signaux audios à la paire de haut-parleurs. Le processeur sonore dérive, de préférence, un signal d'annulation à partir de la différence entre les canaux gauche et droit. Le signal de différence qui en résulte est mis à l'échelle, retardé (si nécessaire), et modifié spectralement avant de l'ajouter au canal de gauche et, dans une polarité opposée, au canal de droite. La modification spectrale du canal de différence prend la forme d'un relèvement de basse fréquence sur un domaine de fréquence déterminé de façon à restaurer l'équilibre timbral correct après réalisation du processus de différence. Il est possible d'insérer dans le canal de différence des réseaux supplémentaires passe-tout de compensation de phase afin de corriger tout décalage de phase supplémentaire produit par le circuit de modification spectrale. la technique peut être utilisée dans un système de son ambiant ou dans un système sonore de véhicule automobile. Dans un véhicule automobile, les deux haut-parleurs peuvent être disposés ensemble dans une enceinte commune possédant une fente étroite proche de la base du cône des haut-parleurs. Le haut-parleur peut être orienté perpendiculairement par rapport au tableau de bord de telle façon que le son émane de la fente pratiquée dans l'enceinte.
