Abstract

La présente invention concerne un article qui permet de réduire la précipitation sur une surface adjacente à un flux d'acier en fusion s'écoulant d'un récipient métallurgique vers un second récipient métallurgique ou vers un moule. L'article réfractaire comprend une surface de travail comportant une perturbation qui rompt le flux laminaire dans une couche limite adjacente à la surface. Le flux non laminaire obtenu de la sorte réduit la précipitation sur la surface et fournit un point propice à l'injection d'un gaz inerte. Le procédé de l'invention consiste à rompre le flux laminaire dans une couche adjacente à la surface de travail.
