Abstract

Un appareil pour tester les caractéristiques de rigidité d'un article tel qu'une pièce de bois se déplaçant dans un sens de transport qui est transversal par rapport à l'axe de test. Cet appareil comprend une unité de support capable de se mettre en contact avec l'article à deux points espacés l'un de l'autre. Un premier déflecteur comprend un premier élément de fonctionnement appliquant une première poussée contre une surface de charge de l'article, à un point intermédiaire de celui-ci situé entre les points espacés l'un de l'autre, afin de générer une déflexion de l'article d'une première amplitude. Chaque élément de fonctionnement définit une surface de charge qui s'étend substantiellement parallèlement à la direction de transport de l'article. Un second déflecteur comprend un second élément de fonctionnement destiné à appliquer une seconde poussée contre une surface de charge de la partie intermédiaire de l'article afin de générer une déflexion de l'article d'une seconde amplitude. Des cellules de charge couplées à l'unité de support génèrent des signaux qui indiquent des amplitudes respectives de poussée à partir desquelles un ordinateur calcule la rigidité.
