Abstract

Un système servant au traitement de contenants, comme des bouteilles en plastique usagées, comprend un dispositif de dégagement pour briser des balles compactées de contenants et les mélanger avec de la vapeur pour aider au procédé de décompression et pour promouvoir le dégagement des étiquettes des contenants. Le système comprend aussi un séparateur pour recevoir les contenants du dispositif de dégagement. Le séparateur est doté de deux rouleaux tournant en sens opposés inclinés à l'horizontale et adaptés pour forcer les étiquettes à l'écart des contenants. Des barres de battage sur les rouleaux aident à déchirer les étiquettes des contenants et à forcer les étiquettes dégagées dans des écarts du séparateur. De l'eau n'est pas nécessaire pour décompresser les balles ni pour enlever les étiquettes des contenants puisque le dispositif de dégagement fonctionne avec la vapeur uniquement, et la gravité déplace les contenants le long du séparateur. De l'eau est utilisée en option pour vidanger périodiquement le dispositif de dégagement et de séparateur des étiquettes et des contaminants. Deux ou plusieurs séparateurs peuvent être utilisés en série.
