Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de détecter des diamants par spectroscopie Raman anti-Stokes cohérente (CARS). Chaque particule (46) à analyser est irradiée au moyen d'un faisceau d'irradiation (44) de particules focalisé de lumière laser formé par combinaison de faisceaux laser (35, 36) initiaux possédant des fréquences différant les unes des autres d'une caractéristique de valeur pour un diamant. Les composants des faisceaux laser sont adaptés en phase de manière cohérente afin de produire une caractéristique de signal CARS du diamant dans les particules dudit diamant. Le signal dispersé à partir des particules est ensuite collecté et analysé afin de déterminer la présence du signal de caractéristique CARS. Le faisceau d'irradiation et/ou au moins le faisceau laser initial est focalisé au moyen d'un système de lentille comprenant une lentille cylindrique. On a découvert que cette caractéristique permettait d'améliorer les résultats par rapport à une analyse CARS classique.
