Abstract

Selon l'invention, des billes d'alumines activées contenant un mélange de glycérol et d'eau absorbé dans ces dernières sont enfermées dans un tampon en tissu qui présente deux surfaces possédant des fonctions différentes, l'une étant perméable et l'autre imperméable à l'humidité. Lorsque le tampon est préchauffé au moyen d'énergie micro-onde, sa surface perméable à l'humidité fournit de la chaleur humide et sa surface imperméable à l'humidité fournit de la chaleur sèche. Lorsque le tampon est prérefrigéré dans un congélateur, sa surface imperméable transmet du froid. L'humidité perdue dans les applications de chaleur humide est reconstituée automatiquement par le glycérol, à partir de l'air ambiant, lorsque le tampon n'est pas utilisé.
