Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de retirer des oxydes d'azote d'un flux gazeux contenant des oxydes d'azote et de l'oxygène. Ce procédé consiste à mettre en contact le flux gazeux avec un flux gazeux réducteur en présence d'un catalyseur d'élimination des oxydes d'azote. Le flux gazeux réducteur contient du monoxyde de carbone, de l'hydrogène et, éventuellement, de l'ammoniac ; il est produit par réaction d'hydrocarbures avec de l'oxygène provenant dudit flux gazeux contenant de l'oxyde d'azote et dudit flux gazeux contenant de l'oxygène. Un catalyseur, tel qu'un catalyseur d'oxydation ou un catalyseur de reformage à la vapeur, peut être utilisé pour favoriser la réaction générant le flux gazeux réducteur.
