Abstract
L'invention concerne une cyrosonde de cathéter ainsi qu'un procédé de fonctionnement associé. Cette sonde présente un embout (20) de Joule Thompson, assemblé à un cathéter (10), lequel comporte un conduit d'alimentation intérieur (12) ainsi qu'un conduit de sortie extérieur (14). On a couplé une pompe (26) à l'extrémité aval du conduit de sortie (14), afin d'aspirer le fluide cryogène sortant, à travers ledit conduit. Cette pompe (26) produit à son niveau une pression négative qui est suffisamment élevée pour produire une pression négative dans le trajet de sortie adjacent à l'embout (20). La pression négative diminue les possibilités de fuite, ainsi que l'éventualité pour le fluide cryogène de sortir du cathéter et de s'introduire dans le vaisseau sanguin du patient, en cas de fuite.
