Abstract
L'invention concerne des systèmes de caméras associés à des processeurs de données, des données de balayage d'images, des ordinateurs et leur écran graphique associé, qui permettent le suivi d'instruments, d'objets, de patients, et d'appareils dans un environnement chirurgical, de diagnostic ou de traitement. Les objets optiquement détectables sont reliés à un appareillage, un patient, ou un clinicien de manière à pouvoir suivre leur position dans l'espace au moyen de systèmes et de procédés de détection optique. La reconnaissance des instruments par des modèles de structures optiquement détectables permet d'obtenir des données relatives à une position, une orientation tridimensionnelles, et au type d'instrument. La détection optique passive ou active est possible via diverses sources de lumières, réflecteurs, et structures de modèles applicables à divers contextes cliniques.
