Abstract

On atomise de la poudre métallique notamment de fer ou d'acier à faible teneur en oxygène dans une atmosphère exempte d'oxygène au moyen d'un hydrocarbure sous forme liquide tel que de la paraffine, puis la poudre humide, encore chaude (60-80 DEG C) est transférée dans un récipient (1) où elle est déposée sur un filtre (2). Une dépression est tout d'abord appliquée sous le filtre (2) pour extraire le liquide de la masse pulvérulente, puis un gaz inerte, pratiquement exempt d'oxygène, circule à travers la masse pulvérulente, puis la vapeur absorbée par le gaz est condensée avant que le gaz ne soit renvoyé dans le récipient (1). Le circuit (70) de circulation du liquide d'atomisation rejoint le circuit (20) de circulation du gaz au niveau d'une pompe à jet (30).
