Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte au domaine de la production d'énergie, notamment au traitement thermique du charbon, et peut être utilisée dans des centrales thermiques afin de raffiner du charbon de basse qualité et d'obtenir ainsi un gaz de synthèse propre sur le plan écologique. Afin d'améliorer les capacités de réaction du charbon et d'augmenter la production de ce gaz de synthèse, une partie du carburant est soumise à un traitement préalable électro-thermique et chimique. Ce traitement consiste à faire passer le mélange air-poudre à travers des chambres de traitement (2, 3) dans lesquelles on génère un flux plasmique à basse température. Les produits de combustion sont ensuite envoyés dans une chambre de réaction (1) dans laquelle on envoie de manière tangentielle, le carburant en poudre ainsi qu'un agent de gazéification afin d'effectuer la gazéification complète du carburant. Les installations permettant de mettre en oeuvre ce procédé comportent une chambre de réaction (1) disposée verticalement et dont la partie inférieure est connectée à au moins deux chambres de traitement (2, 3) afin d'effectuer ledit traitement préalable électro-thermique et chimique du carburant. Chaque chambre de traitement se présente sous forme d'une moufle (4) dans laquelle sont intégrés des plasmotrons (5). Les moufles (4) sont connectées à la chambre de réaction (1) de manière tangentielle et sont disposées l'une en face de l'autre. Les systèmes d'introduction du flux principal de poudre de charbon et d'agent de gazéification dans la chambre de réaction (1), sont disposés diamétralement et sont connectés de manière tangentielle à ladite chambre (1).
