Abstract
L'invention porte sur un authentificateur d'images optiques et le procédé associé selon lequel une matrice de pixels d'intensité lumineuse est détectée et comparée pixel par pixel avec une matrice de pixels de référence de manière à déterminer si chacun des pixels est bon ou mauvais. L'authentification se fait sur la base des pixels bons ou mauvais ou de leur rapport. On affecte à chacun des pixels une échelle de gris ou une valeur binaire. Les valeurs sont attribuées en fonction de différents niveaux de seuils. La mémoire optique peut être du type grille de diffraction pixélisée ou du type "pixelgramme". La détection se fait par l'intermédiaire d'un détecteur à couplage de charge, et un laser balaye chacune des trames. La position du point de départ du motif détecté est mise en concordance avec les positions respectives du motif authentique. Ce dernier est stocké sous une variété de formes ayant été l'objet d'une rotation ou d'une translation linéaire. Cette invention présente un intérêt dans le domaine des titres et des cartes de crédit.
