Abstract

Gaine protectrice (10) d'aiguille médicale comprenant un corps pourvu d'une paroi supérieure (12), de parois latérales (14, 16), d'une première extrémité ouverte (24) et de fentes (22) formées dans chaque paroi latérale qui reçoivent une ailette d'aiguille s'étendant dans chacune des fentes. Ces fentes s'étendent de la première extrémité jusqu'à une seconde extrémité (26) de la gaine opposée à la première, et se terminent dans les parois latérales au niveau de points terminaux qui sont espacés de la seconde extrémité. Généralement, les premières sections (40) des fentes adjacentes aux points terminaux s'écartent de la paroi supérieure en descendant tandis que les fentes s'étendent vers la seconde extrémité. D'autres sections (30) des fentes sont inclinées vers la partie supérieure tandis que les fentes s'étendent vers la seconde extrémité (26). Les diverses améliorations décrites dans cette invention permettent d'utiliser sans danger et plus facilement la gaine protectrice d'une aiguille.
