Abstract
Abstract.
An arrangement in a double-walled container, especially a transport container, where at least one pipe is provided in the interspace between an outer wall and an inner wall, with a number of outlets , which are passed water-tightly through the inner container wall.
The ends of pipe, or pipes, respectively, are passed out through the oter container wall in the shape of sockets which are provided with connections. Outlet sockets are provided in a well-shaped recess in the container wall, so that sockets with connections sit inside the external limit of the container.

Description
2030~61 The present invention relates to an arrangement in a double-walled container, especially a transport container. The expression double-walled in this connection means double walls and a double bottom.
The klnd of containers which are intended in connection with the invention are relatively large containers, e.g. con-tainers having a transport volume of 300 liters. Such containers are much used for transport and freezing of fish in blocks. Being double-walled the containers will obtain high rigidity with low expenditure of material, and will have relatively good thermal insulation.
It is an ob~ect of the present invention to propose an improvement of containers of the above mentioned kind, so that the containers may be used for other purposes, and provide advantages in conventional use.
A new application of such containers will be transport of fish for stocking, e.g. fish for the fish breeding industry.
To day, fish for stocking, and the like must be transported by special vehicles or special tanks. This is expensive as well as often cumbersome. In connection with the invention it is, among others, an ob~ect to be able to use common transport containers for transport of fish for breeding. Such transport containers are inexpensive and may readily be moved across short distances and be transported by the aid of common vehicles across longer distances.
According to the invention this is achieved by an arrangement in double-walled containers which is characterized by the fact that at ~east one pipe with a number of outlets is provided in the interspace between the inner and outer wall and is extended in a water-tight manner through the inner container wall, and that the ends of the pipe are extended 2~3~
through the outer container wall in the shape of a socket piece which is provided with a pipe connection.
By the aid of the arrangement according to the invention thawing of fish frozen in blocks in the container may be sped up by pumping a thawing medium into the container through the pipe. On the other hand, fresh fish, e.g. on board of a fishing vessel or during transport may be supplied with a coolant, e.g. supercooled sea water, so that fish may be stored for a longer time in a fresh, non-frozen state.
As regards transport of, e.g. fish for breeding, the transport container is filled with water and during transport oxygen may be supplied to the water in the contalner through the piping system, and fish for breeding may thus stay for a long time in the container.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment of the invention.
Figure 1 shows the container from above.
Figure 2 is a sectional view through the container of Figure 1, and Figure 3 shows a section through the inner wall of the container with a nozzle.
The double-walled container according to the embodiment is a standard transport container with a transport volume of 300 litres. The container has an inner wall 1, an outer wall 2, an inner bottom 3, and an outer bottom 4. In the double bottom 3, 4 through ducts 5 and 6 are provided for insertion of the fork of a fork truck. Between inner and outer bottom 3, 4 of this embodiment two separate piping systems 7, 8 are provided. Five nozzle niples 9 are connected to pipe 8. Pipe 7 is extended through inner wall 1 and ends with a socket 11 2030~1 in a well-shaped recess 10. Socket 11 is provided with a connection 12 for ~oining with an external system for supply of gas or liquid. Pipe system 8 is provided with ten nozzles 9 and, like pipe 7, extendss outwards through inner wall 1 and ends in well 10 in the shape of a socket 11 with a connection 12. Pipe 7 is intended for connection with a source of oxygen which will provide live fish for breeding with necessary oxygen during s-torage and transport in the container.
Pipe 8 is intended for connection with an external source for supply of a thawing medium, if desired a coolant. By the aid of a thawing medium fish frozen in blocks may be thawed more rapidly, and by the aid of a coolant, e.g. supercooled sea water, fresh fish will have prolonged keeping quality. The outlets from pipes 7 and 8 have the shape of niples 9 which were passed through the internal bottom 3 and were firmly moulded into the latter during production in order to provide a tight passage.
Mounting of the pipe systems may readily be carried out during casting of the containers. The whole piping system with outlet nozzles is placed inside the mould before filllng with the raw material. By the aid of special fastening polnts pipes and niples are held in place during casting.
In the embodiment according to the drawing two particular pipe systems 7, 8 are shown. The pipe systems may have other designs, and it may also be considered, only to place one pipe system in a container which is designed for a special appl i cation.
When the container is used for transport of fish for breeding, the transport may be carried out without harmlng the fish, since the whole supply system for oxygen sits outside the internal bottom 3. There will thus be no installations inside the container which might harm the fish.
2030g~1 If the container is to be used for a thawing contalner or a cooling container the whole plpe system will be a firmly integrated part and reversal/emptylng may be carrled out wlthout any damage to pipes or niples.
Because there is ready access to the pipe ends they may readil,y be blinded from outside, so that the containers may also be used for other and more conventional purposes.
