La figure 1 est une vue en élévation latérale du dispositif;
~ 35 ~ 32 The subject of the invention is a device for the tribution of a powdery product, through a long slot evacuation length and also concerns applications of this device.
We know that, in certain techniques, we are brought ~ distribute regularly, continuously or discon-tinu, powdery products of small particle size, in -view of depositing on a substrate a layer of substantial thickness uniformly uniform of these products.
This is how there are available in trade powder paint spraying additives, but the paintwork made with these devices can present ter significant variations in thickness, without suffering from it the external appearance of the painted surface.
However, there are techniques in which the thickness of a layer of product thus deposited by projection tion must be perfectly regular, although the dimensions sions of the particles in this product are very small, example below 25 microns.
This is the case, in particular, in the manufacture of semi-reflective glazing, by pyrolysis of metallic salts deposited in a thin layer on the surface of these glazings.
Such glazing, intended to reflect at least part of the visible radiation or infrared radiation, must be coated with a perfectly reflecting product layer regular, any variation in thickness resulting in transmission or reflection faults, or by the device rition of welts or other anomalies on the surface of the glazing.
In order to avoid these drawbacks, it is known to aspirate the pulverulent product using pneumatic means that evacuation, from an intermediate volume in . ~:
: ~, ~ 3g932 which this product is kept suspended in a stream gaseous, said volume itself being supplied at a constant flow rate, by means known in the art, from a reserve ve of the pulverulent product.
By using spray nozzles of a type classic, that is to say with a circular orifice, to carry out such dep8ts, however, it remains very difficult to obtain layers of constant thickness on a substrate, because the particles projected by the nozzle have angles of inclination variable with respect to the axis of the nozzle and different speeds annuities. As a result, the layer disposed on a surface at varying thicknesses depending on the distance from the axis of the nozzle. In addition, to treat large areas, it is need to use multiple nozzles, which creates dif-difficulties in covering the layers projected by the diffe-nozzle annuities, or has nozzles moving back and forth comes in relation to the substrate, which also leads to a partial recovery, at the same time as problems arise my purely mechanical.
To overcome these drawbacks, we certainly already have ~
suggests using devices with a slot projection but it's extremely difficult to get a homogeneous flow over the entire length of the slit.
Indeed, the middle part of the distribution organ tion is generally supplied with suspended powder in a gas, using a cylindrical conduit, and it is well obvious that the two ends of the exhaust slot re-receive smaller quantities of powder than the central part the. In addition, due to the supply of pulverulent product by the carrier gas in a single conduit, deposits of powder may occur in areas with loss of ~ 39 ~ 3; ~
large loads, which can be attributed to the fact that the flows do not take place regularly.
The invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a device for distributing a pulverulent product, of the type comprising an evacuation slot, in which the flow of powder is substantially the same at any point in the length from the evacuation slot.
To this end, the invention relates to a device for the homogeneous distribution of a pulverulent product through a longitudinal evacuation slot, of the type in which said slot is supplied with powdery product suspended in a gas flow using a supply duct, this arrangement sitive being characterized in that said conduit is subdivided into a plurality of elementary conduits of the same outlet length edge at regularly spaced points along the length of said slot.
Because the elementary conduits of this device all have the same length, the pressure drops are the same in each of these conduits and so they will all have the same debit. By regularly spacing their orifices following all the length of the evacuation slot, we thus obtain, at the outlet of each of the elementary conduits, the same gas flow load of the pulverulent product.
Advantageously, said slot will have in cross section dirty a venturi profile, in order to further improve the homogenei-te, not yet perfect, of the distribution throughout the whole slit, from one tube to another.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention tion, said slot is not the distribution slot properly said of the device, but a primary slot, feeding a homogenization chamber, which is also supplied with gas under ~ a ~ 39 ~ 3 ~
pressing two slots parallel to said primary slot and arranged on either side thereof, said accommodation chamber homogenization opening itself out through a slit of distribution.
The back ~ ée of two homogeneous gas flows, under a higher flow rate than that of the primary slot, on both sides ~ of this slot, allows to perfect the homogeneity of the product pulverulent by diluting the primary gas stream carrying this powdery product. The arrival of these two flows also allows avoid the deposit of powdery product on the walls side of the homogenization chamber. The exhaust by the distribution slot will preferably be made through the diary of a venturi ensuring progressive relaxation.
Advantageously, the gas supply slots of the homogenization chamber communicate via baffle ducts with separate orifices, themselves in communication with pressurized gas supply means if we. This produces a multi-pressure drop assembly ples (orifices, baffles, slots), which promote homogeneity-sation of these two gas flows at the outlet of the slots and therefore inside the homogenization chamber.
Depending on the applications of the distribution device in accordance with the invention, means can be introduced tion of an auxiliary fluid upstream of the dispensing slot tion.
The attached schematic drawings illustrate a form for producing the device according to the invention. On these des-sins:

The device shown comprises a conduit 1 supply of powdered product suspended in a gas. This conduit l is subdivided into a plurality of conduits elementary 2, of equal length, opening at intervals regular in 3 following the entire length of a cavity 4. This cavity 4 has, in cross section, the shape of a venturi 5, which opens out through a longitudinal slot 6 for evacuation into a homogenization chamber 7.
As explained above, due to the same length of the elementary conduits 2, the pressure drops:
will be identical in the different conduits and cavity 4 will thus be supplied with identical debits according to any its length.
On either side of the slot 6, the chamber 7 is -supplied with pressurized gas by two conduits 8, communicating respectively through holes 9 and a recess-la chicane lO, with a slot ll parallel to the eva- slot ~ -cuation 6. This mode of supply of pressurized gas to - ~
slots 11 makes it possible to obtain a uniform flow at these outlets 11.
The latter comes to homogenize by dilution in chamber 7 the powder-gas mixture from the discharge slot 6. From made of their arrangement on either side of the slot 6, the slots 11 for admitting gas into chamber 7 prevent an accu powder mulation on the walls of this chamber.
This communicates through a divergent, then a con-orchard, 12, with a longitudinal distribution slot 12, by which the pulverulent product is discharged with a meme flow along its entire length. Between slot 6 and slot distribution 13 can be arranged conduits 14 per-putting to introduce homogeneously in the mixture one or several auxiliary gases, depending on the applications envisaged ~ L ~ 3 ~ 9 ~
for the device.
For the application mentioned above to the realization semi-transparent glazing by depositing metallic salts in thin layer on the surface of these glazings and pyrolysis of these salts, the Applicant has successfully used devices in accordance with the invention for depositing metal salts.
These devices had slot lengths of 250 to 650 mm.
By juxtaposing modular devices of this type, the Deman-deresse was able to easily process ribbons or plaques glass up to several meters wide and defi-lant at a speed of about 6m / min transversely to the slit device exhaust.
The gas flows vary according to the type of product to spray and the dimensions of the projection slot. AT
By way of example, the Applicant has successfully used normal flow rates of 1 m3 / h per cm of air gap length load of powder in suspension obtained by aspiration in a intermediate volume of regularization and 4 m3 / h per cm of length of slit in air injected into the homogeneous chamber sation, the speed of the gas flow powder charge at the outlet of the device being, under these conditions, close to 7 m / s. -In a variant application of the device according to the invention, the Applicant has simultaneously used two analogous devices arranged in parallel to deposit, on the same side of a ribbon or a plate of glass scrolling at right of the slots of these devices and transverse thereto these, two layers either of the same pulverulent product, or -of two separate products. For the realization of glazing one of these products can reflect before tagging visible radiation and the other radiation infrared.
~ 9 ~ 3; ~
Of course, instead of depositing two layers on one side of a glass plate, devices according to the invention can be used to apply on each of the faces of a glazing a layer of the same product or two separate products.
The homogeneity of the powder deposits thus produced is excellent, since using in applications above products very sensitive to variations in thickness-sor, for example products such as tin oxide, which, after pyrolysis, reflect inter-colorations ference, the Applicant has obtained glazing perfectly monochromatic as well in the longitudinal direction (sense of glazing scrolling under the device according to the invention) than transversely.
As already indicated above, the device conforms to the invention also has the advantage of being able to be realized in modular form, which allows to juxtapose a variable number of devices to adapt to the width of the substrate to be treated.
Furthermore, since the apparatus is stationary and does not with no moving parts, it is of great job loyalty.
Of course, the device according to the invention is not limited to the applications mentioned above and it can be used in any technique involving deposition on a support, in a homogeneous form, for powdered products, by example of paintings, paints, etc.
